Let me get this right - remery calls me in nearly every post i am a liar.

In his last three or four posts in two different threads he adds i am also an idiot and loser.

Can anyone enlighten why the mods on here allow such continual abuse?

It sets a precedent for one.

I think he is trying to get the General Discussion closed down or return to a Heavy Weather section.

Are you complaining that he misses calling you a liar in some posts and you want 100% attention?

I do disagree with him. I don't think you are a liar. You are just interpreting things a different way.

What is the most critical discussion today? We have all forgotten about the Ukraine invasion, have spent time on the Israel/Hamas war, and we have dabled in vaccination issues. When do we get back to the fake moon landing?

Maybe because you consistently tell untruths.
I agree with FN, if you believe those untruths does that make you a liar?
I don't think so, you're just sucked in by the evil people trying to destroy science.
What gets up Remery's nose, is that this misinformation is spreading very dangerously.
All the work he's put in as part of his scientific job, to get to the botto0m of what's going on. So we can plan for beyyer outcomes, is being undermined.
Which will lead to worse outcomes for all of us!

So maybe the mods know this and are allowing a bit of leeway.

I know you can't see it this way, you are also trying to save us from whatever conspiracy it is at the time.
But so far fortunately you are in the minority.

I assume remery is relying on a defense of qualified privilege, public interest and truth.

I am still curious about HAARP. It was going to create a blackhole and suck the entire planet in. Either that or change the weather. It was empirical.

In return they parrot the narrative or they will likely receive less future grants.

Makes sense but not to those with eyes that do not want to see.

That's called Projection. Because it is how you would react in that situation. Most reputable scientists don't parrot the narrative, they make their funding sources clear on their published work, which is subjected to peer review and verification. If the work is discovered as fake, it is retracted and the scientist becomes a pariah. As was the case with Wakefield.

Just as a footnote: If you are in contact with infants, the recommended schedule for Whooping Cough booster is every 10 years.
www.health.gov.au/immunisation-for-adults-20-to-64-years

Whooping Cough is one of those diseases that is of particular concern for the very young and the very old. Given that the social interactions for those groups often involves the adults with fully developed immune systems, the risk of infection via the asymptomatic carrier vector is high. Hence the requirement to boost adults despite being at lower risk of serious morbidity themselves. That is, you are getting vaccinated in order to protect your grand/child, not so much for yourself.

I got whooping cough twice, got misdiagnosed every time, about 8 times. I didn't even know I hadn't been vaccinated. Got it done before the kids came along.

Yes, whooping cough dropped off during COVID because the smart people were socially distancing and masking. A cyclic peak was missed and many people's vaccination will be out of date because of the break. Hence the very real concern. That and the fact that anti-vaxx loons have given rise to other afflictions like measles, tetanus, mumps and rubella; even more embarrassing polio as a result of antivaxx misinformation.

"SUMMARY
This narrative review and meta-analysis summarizes a broad evidence base on the benefits-and also the practicalities, disbenefits, harms and personal, sociocultural and environmental impacts-of masks and masking. Our synthesis of evidence from over 100 published reviews and selected primary studies, including re-analyzing contested meta-analyses of key clinical trials, produced seven key findings. First, there is strong and consistent evidence for airborne transmission of severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) and other respiratory pathogens. Second, masks are, if correctly and consistently worn, effective in reducing transmission of respiratory diseases and show a dose-response effect. Third, respirators are significantly more effective than medical or cloth masks. Fourth, mask mandates are, overall, effective in reducing community transmission of respiratory pathogens. Fifth, masks are important sociocultural symbols; non-adherence to masking is sometimes linked to political and ideological beliefs and to widely circulated mis- or disinformation. Sixth, while there is much evidence that masks are not generally harmful to the general population, masking may be relatively contraindicated in individuals with certain medical conditions, who may require exemption. Furthermore, certain groups (notably D/deaf people) are disadvantaged when others are masked. Finally, there are risks to the environment from single-use masks and respirators. We propose an agenda for future research, including improved characterization of the situations in which masking should be recommended or mandated; attention to comfort and acceptability; generalized and disability-focused communication support in settings where masks are worn; and development and testing of novel materials and designs for improved filtration, breathability, and environmental impact."

Conclusions Excess mortality has remained high in the Western World for three consecutive years, despite the implementation of containment measures and COVID-19 vaccines. This raises serious concerns. Government leaders and policymakers need to thoroughly investigate underlying causes of persistent excess mortality.

I have to concede that there is a lot of anti Vax loons, but the medical authorities have really shot themselves in the foot by using words like safe and effective for a product that is neither. And the CDC claims that Pandermix never caused narcolepsy. It's no wonder the Swedes were a little hesitant about the Fauci Ouchy.

Conclusion:
Pandemrix vaccination is a precipitating factor for narcolepsy, especially in combination with HLA-DQB1*0602. The incidence of narcolepsy was 25 times higher after the vaccination compared with the time period before. The children in the postvaccination group had a lower age at onset and a more sudden onset than that generally seen

MTG Goes NUCLEAR on Dr. Fauci as House Hearing Goes OFF THE RAILS (youtube.com)

Taylor-Greene was born in Milledgeville, Georgia, on May 27, 1974. She graduated from South Forsyth High School in Cumming, Georgia in 1992, and the University of Georgia with a Bachelor of Business Administration in 1996.
---
Fauci attended Regis High School, a competitive Jesuit school on Manhattan's Upper East Side, where he captained the school's basketball team despite standing only 5 ft 7 in tall. He decided halfway through high school to become a physician. After graduating in 1958, Fauci enrolled in the College of the Holy Cross, graduating in 1962 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in classics with a pre-med track. Fauci then attended Cornell University's Medical College (now Weill Cornell Medicine), graduating with a Doctor of Medicine degree in 1966 ranked first in his class. At Cornell, he focused on adult internal medicine, mainly infectious diseases and the immune system. Fauci then did an internship and residency in internal medicine at New York Hospital-Cornell Medical Center (now Weill Cornell Medical Center).

Medical achievements
Fauci has made important scientific observations that contributed to the understanding of the regulation of the human immune response and is recognized for delineating the mechanisms whereby immunosuppressive agents adapt to that response. He developed therapies for formerly fatal diseases such as polyarteritis nodosa, granulomatosis with polyangiitis, and lymphomatoid granulomatosis. In a 1985 Stanford University Arthritis Center Survey, members of the American Rheumatism Association ranked Fauci's work on the treatment of polyarteritis nodosa and granulomatosis with polyangiitis as one of the most important advances in patient management in rheumatology over the previous 20 years. Fauci discovered how to re-dose cancer drugs in a way that turned a 98 percent mortality rate of the disorder vasculitis into a 93 percent remission rate.

Fauci has contributed to the understanding of how HIV destroys the body's natural defense system, progressing to AIDS. He has outlined the mechanisms of induction of HIV expression by endogenous cytokines. Fauci has worked to develop strategies for the therapy and immune reconstitution of patients with the disease, as well as for a vaccine to prevent HIV infection. His current research is concentrated on identifying the nature of the immunopathogenic mechanisms of HIV infection and the scope of the body's immune responses to HIV.

In 2003, the Institute for Scientific Information stated that from 1983 to 2002, "Fauci was the 13th most-cited scientist among the 2.5 to 3.0 million authors in all disciplines throughout the world who published articles in scientific journals." As a government scientist under seven presidents, Fauci has been described as "a consistent spokesperson for science, a person who more than any other figure has brokered a generational peace" between the two worlds of science and politics.
