Gave Windows 7 beta a go, waay better. The change to Release Candidate version was the easiest change over I've ever done with Windows Easy Transfer. Not one single driver that I needed to go outside for. I think they may have got one right finally. Nearly as good as Windows ME. Bahahaha.

While it does install all the drivers (even on 64 bit version), if you run a good graphics and sound card, you will have to go to the respective sites and d/l the correct drivers. NVIDIA and GIGABYTE all had windows 7 64 bit drivers ready to go.
Well what a beat up. Of course you have to pay for it if you want it. They have every right to have the rc version shut down - otherwise it would be free for everyone. If you dont want to pay, reinstall your old OS.
This seems to be typical of the 'I hate MS' crowd - tall poppy syndrome.
And as for all the Vista stuff - if all the updates and service packs are applied, Vista runs faster than XP - even on memory hungry games.
