If you don't like it don't read them. Everyone is entitled to their opinion and if it is truly wrong the moderators will sort it out.
I say this quote says it all for me.
I imagine a forum to be like a Pub. If you like a conversation join in. If you don't walk away but remember how you interact could determine the way your treated. Be it in the pub or on line

If don't want to inflame a situation stay away from it simple

Yeah I think if I was at a pub and heard some of the comments made hear I would probably leave the pub thinking, when did Pauline Hanson take over the lease?
Guess the wine bar is a bit different than my local

But your right this forum should be like the mainstream media, just there to get one viewpoint across, heaven forbid people's opinions are heard.

Opinions are just that.
edit: just after I wrote that I thought "I bet Twain had some classics....", and of course he does:
www.twainquotes.com/Opinion.html Yep opinions are opinions, however they can shape others thoughts and opinions and even educate, however I thought journalism was fair, balanced and critical thinking, not pushing press releases and chasing ratings.
But I guess if your dumb enough to get your facts from the 6 o'clock news than your dumb enough to believe them and dumb enough to vote for them. Eg most of the cashed up bogan generation
That isn't directed at you Panda, just the news on our tv is a poor representation of journalism for the most part and current affairs... A dispute with your neighbour isn't current affairs, it's trash.. The attitudes that this thread is about are increased by the media and way they report things.
