a trilogy in four parts?
summat dont add up.........

p.s.
since we are talking about names for a cartoon street urchin and his dog, how about Paul and Riggers [Rigby]
dont forget the mouse lurking in the background somewhere either- and they need to play "dead ants"
as kids we used to fight over Dads paper so we could hunt for the urchin, his dog and the mouse.
I think I am starting to show my age![]()
nah- scrap that idea, "grommet" for the urchin, "stink" for the dog

It's gotta be Billy Rae and Miley, surely!
I always wanted a couple of dogs called 'Kev' and 'Trev', ended up a few years back with a legend Border Collie called Trevor (quite possibly the best dog eva), never did the Kev version.
There used to be series on Channel two called 'Seachange', the characters 'Kev' and 'Trev' used to summarise each show with pearls of wisdom that usually made no sense???.so still a bit of a nautical theme for ya

I remember them well (Rigby's boy and dog) and like you vied for the paper. In some small way they are part of the inspiration for what we are doing. I had forgotten about the mouse? One of the joys of my childhood trying to find the above.
Thanks for your input guys. Here is the reason we were hunting names. Billy and Bess won out in the end. Here is the long winded explanation I told/warned you about.
BILLY and BESS
Ladies and Gentleman, girls and boys, allow me to introduce to you a couple that are destined to go a long way. BILLY and BESS are wooden statues of a boy and a dog. They represent the faceless tragedy that is orphans /street kids and abandoned dogs. They also represent hope. Billy and Bess are the brain child and brain dog of Beau and Tricia Philp. They were created for us by renowned Port Macquarie Artist Henry Field. Why are Billy and Bess special? Because they will be doing something that few orphans and abandoned dogs ever get to do. They will travel the world. Not only that, they will be going places some of us can only dream of. How? Billy and Bess are available for fostering. Anyone that is about to travel will be able contact their Facebook site and apply to foster Billy and Bess for the duration of their travel. Photographic evidence of their travels will then be posted to this site regularly by the foster family along with a short written summery of the adventures/travels. We hope that Billy and Bess will travel widely and to more and more exotic locations. Paris, Rome, Machu Pichu, up in a balloon, down in a submarine, maybe even to the Space Station. On Billy and Bess's Face book page will be a link to HOW. Helping Orphans World Wide as well as an animal rescue site link. People are not obliged to contribute however and we hope that Billy and Bess provide interest and fun for many people especially children. Anyone can foster Billy and Bess but we reserve the right to choose the adventure. Obviously a trip to the space station (our ultimate goal) would override a trip to Bali, however all offers will be considered and it will not necessarily be the grandest offer that will be chosen. Please Share this with others especially your kids. We hope Billy and Bess's Travels will prove fun and educational.
Good for you elbeau, liked the build up to this and perhaps if i knew more i wouldn't have included my offensive suggestion of crack n sack, kinda wouldnt work for a fundraiser.
Good luck with it and keep us posted.
Thanks Guys for the positive input. Billy and Bess were the names we settled on and they can be found at Bill and Bess on Facebook. We are no great entrepreneurs or even artists so the first few posts have been pretty amateurish. We welcome any input on how to make it successful. Here is a link.

Great work elbeau! A little more practice with carving and you might be up there with 'Zheng Chunhui'.![]()
(got this via email a couple of days ago & had to share - incredible carving!)
Yeah well that's OK but I notice he didn't try something really difficult like (for instance) a boy and a dog
