Eddie is a legend. Pearl jam. Although never my favourite band have my respect. They made a lot of good songs.

I just learned recently too that he played a major role in freeing 3 fellas accused Of murdering 3 boys in the USA about 18 years ago. They all served about 20 years, were on the row and eddies selfless actions were a major contributor to their freedom. They were falsely accused but freed if they pleaded guilty to the murders. This was so the state didn't have to pay them out for all that. Time falsely accused. America. Eddie played a major part in re building these kids lives financially as well.
I got nothing against Joel but I don't think you can even compare good Charlotte to pearl jam. I saw good Charlotte play a gig a few years back and it was a tribute concert to weezer. It was all covers which they were forced to do to be freed from a record contract.
You'd never see that happen to pearl jam who are people of extreme integrity.
