There must be some rule/law, however obscure, that we can use to send this [moderated] back home.

i was at a pearl jam concert once... or maybe i was listening to a pearl jam boot leg... (i seriously gotta lay off the drugs)

and Ed Ved was postulating about the elements that went into the creative success of pearl jam...

and his conclusion was that if the things hadn't transpired the way they had transpired

there was a chance that pearl jam could end up being like something like good charlotte

then he went to say that there was nothing wrong with good charlotte, it was just

that their music tasted like a popsicle that had been up someones arse

..... i think there is a message in that for all of us

There must be a rule where "talent" shows have people with awesome talent competing - and judges who can't sing at more than an average to basic level. Is that the idea of it?
I mean seriously - Joel Madden, Danni, Kylie, Seal (2 hits in his life), Mel B etc judging classical singers? FFS.

But Doc you are off your rocker. Pearl Jam was a grungy thing that succceeded largely off the back of Nirvana's innovation. They had about 3 good songs.
Good Charlotte has many more listenable songs.
Think very carefully before saying "I like pearl jam" cos gen Y may not get it and assume you mean something else entirely

Bahahhahahah. Good Charlotte are absolute rubbish.

It saddens me that our Sophie Monk introduced him into my lounge room.

Yeah, you are probably right. I just read Eddie Vedder's lyrics to Perl Jam's 'big wave.'

It's a bit like comparing two morons. I'm thankful Vedder isn't in my lounge room.

"Big Wave"

I used to be crustacean
In an underwater nation
And I surf in celebration
Of a billion adaptations

Got me a big wave, ride me a big wave, got me a big wave.
Got me a big wave, ride me a big wave, got me a big wave.

I feel the need
Planted in me
Millions of years ago
Can't you see
The oceans size?
Defining time
And time
Arising
Arms laid upon me
Being so kind
To let me ride

I scream in affirmation
Of connecting dislocations
And exceeding limitations
By achieving levitation

Got me a big wave, ride me a big wave, got me a big wave.
Got me a big wave, ride me a big wave, got me a big wave.

I feel the need
Planted in me

arrrrrrrr, there was grunge before Nirvana, there is grunge after Nirvana,,,,, your comment on PJ is moronic, truly, you still surprise with exactly how ignorant you are on such a variety of topics,,,, 3 good songs? their first 11 albums were good,, pffffffffffffffff, good charlotte has many more listenable????? songs,,,,,I'm just amazed how little you know.......about so many things......of course Pearl jam wont resonant with you, what are you, generation A, have you tried these bands,,, Tool, Jerc, Stinky Cow, Krusty, Nodick, Hairless Monkey,,stay away from grunge, it probably scares you.

I think they are two completely different animals. Pearl jam coming up on 25 odd year of constant music making and good Charlotte technically existing but not makin music as they are too busy doing television shows.
To be fair though I don't mind Joel madden, he's under no allusions about the depth and importance of good charlottes music. We saw a 60min story on him a couple of years back where he was asked what he thought about his critics his answer was absolute gold , "well we did call the band Good Charlotte..........not Great Charlotte". He then gave a smile like he was just working the music industry. Was very down to earth.
Kylie on the other hand WTF????

Pearl Jam rocks.......Rear-view mirror, Jeremy, Alive, Black, Dissident, Even Flow ...Should I keep listing them?.....endless list of good music.
But Im guessing "Hot House Hits FM WA" wouldnt play these songs,,,, only Bad Charlotte, Justin Bieber and Nickelback.

Milsy,.. maaaate,.. I don't think you realise that when you go into someone else's house, you are not entering a democracy.
It's their house,. so it's their rules.
If you don't like the rules you have the right to get up and leave, but you don't have any right to change the rules.
It's a simple as that.

I don't know..................I know I'm bored,,, get back to comparing good Charlotte and pearl jam, its riveting
