Great idea MSN.
I am not sure we need to go as far as a genuflection, but we could certainly use the forum to pay homage to remery's displays of wisdom.
May I suggest we cite some of remery's most noticeable quotes and reflect on the issues that they evidence ?
Unlike Cracasac, Remery is rarely triggered.
arrrrgggghgh, yeah, welll looook, OK, OK, so maybe not the best one to start off with. Yeah. righty-oh, the evidence seems to suggest only the first part of that little pearl of wisdom bears any resemblance to reality.
There is no doubt that Remery was a giant.... a titan in the fields of science and small engine two stroke carburetors. We also acknowledge that he was very easily triggered when it came to alternative theories.
Rest easy Remery.
The ban was implemented based on the repeated behaviours. The actions of the individuals have been observed for many years, long enough for an accumulated data set that's become acceptably accurate at predicting violations based on current activities. The present situation only served to reinforce previous findings rendering a peer review null and void.
Of course new information, a rebuttal or an appeal can be made in the Journal of Opinions & Self-righteousness. However this process tends to be long winded resulting mainly in psychotic cults and wellness retreats, possibly symbolic of where our banned friends are likely headed without the Breeze as an outlet.
It serves us all reminder that one can be a titan in one field, yet a minnow in another.
I've been doing Wordle for 3 years and the New York Times mini crossword for 5 years. If the lithium orotate works... I'll know.
Hopefully remery will have a chance to finish his Wordle and his crossword now.
I mean, most people solve a Wordle in a few minutes, and crosswords in under the hour. But no doubt they can sometimes get tricky and unfortunately remery seems to have got particularly tricky ones that have had him stumped for several years now.
I do know the NYT crossword is notorious amongst readers as being a challenge. although I'd understood the mini crossword is supposed to be easier for those less, um... less..... well, let's just say 'less academically inclined' and 5 years does seem like a long time to take, but well......look, chin up remery, keep going with it, perseverance can be a talent too.......
IMO a full bar of red thumbs is far more satisfying for members to see, and participate in, then a ban for a dumb post.
I suggest bringing red thumbs back and remery and put him on double demerit red thumbs for a while.
Also, I think an infinite "thumb" bar would be great so we can actually see how stupid or intelligent everyone thinks some comments are. I am sure it would encourage participation across all the forums.
^^^ it didn't work though. Debated many times.
now I wanna know what did he do? I had no idea when this thread started, and still no idea now he's done it again ![]()
How am I missing all this amazing contentious content?
First time round he did some bonafide name calling, there was a ban or two somewhere in between, that was name calling again from memory. Not sure what this latest one was about exactly, but i could hazard a guess or two.
i'm guessing PC defender was the other banned profile.

How am I missing all this amazing contentious content?
Last I saw, PM33 started on about Palestine (in a thread about what not to post in 'general discussion' because it was/is going to be shutdown, and Remery started responding, and we have all seen how that goes in the past. It was sort of strange to see PM bring up that sort of content in a thread specifically calling out similar content as being a problem.
It's a bit of a shame as PM33 can bring up some popular discussion, as can Remery. But together they are not good. They should use the 'hide their post' feature. So far I have Cracandtalk and Myscreenname in my list, and my world is looking brighter. Hopefully they have done the same and we can all get along.
My recollection is probably faulty. But here it goes.
Peter posted a flat earth meme in the funny images thread.
Somebody suggested we have special section for CTers, it would have a membership of one, and he could just talk to himself.
Then PM's next post was asking if we though the Gaza tragedy was a CT. He obviously didn't realise it was because of the flat earth post.
That triggered Rob.
I didn't think his reply was all that bad, but then he's a mate of mine and I'm biased.
....now I wanna know what did he do? I had no idea .....
argh-ha. So you've no idea what went down hey?
So you can't dispute what happened ? In that case ... here ya go...
PM33 mentioned how wet it had been lately and that his lawn mower had been working overtime due to excess grass growth and needed a service because it wasn't running right.
remery stated it was a known fact that climate change will cause a drying effect, which will manifest as more rain
PM33 then asked remery to pop-around and fix up the carburetor in his mower
After a bit of to-and-fro remery finally admitted he actually knows nothing about carburetors and he actually gets his neighbour to fix his, he just takes all the credit
PM33 then asked if remery would send his neighbour around instead.
But it turned out remery's neighbour isn't up-to date with their vax and PM33 won't actually allow anyone in his house who isn't fully vaxxed
Then it transpired that PM33's lawn isn't flat, it is actually quite sloped. If you look at it from a distance the lawn-horizon bends away in each direction.
remery commented that this might be contributing to excess wear on the mower.
This then got a green thumb
When remery's neighbour finally got to PM33's it turns out PM33 still had a "windsurfers for Trump' sign stuck in his front lawn.
remery's neighbour couldn't then test the mower after she serviced the carburetor as the sign got in the way
This lead to a dispute and they all got banned.
I was convinced Remery was still a virgin but ... any dark knight put in the naughty corner this many times must've slayed many a dragon .
In memory of remery I have been doing some sciencing.
Detailed analysis of the number of remery's bans versus his ban number long term average from 1997 to 2020, with a polynominal forward projection indicates that by 2030 remery will be banned for over 450 days per year, every year. It's a fact, the science is in.

It is therefore highly likely that by 2030 there may be no remerys left in the wild.
I propose a remery tax for each post made on Seabreeze to fight this insidious situation. Let's say $5 per post, and Carantoc can be the keeper of the tax. Initially it will be a self reporting system, so please forward taxes to Carantoc via Western Union. Cash only please, no bitcoin.
I just hope Remery has the strength to continue on. I'm scared that he may 'top' himself. Don't go there Remery.
Remery, Remery, Remery tell us you are OK please send us a sign.

"How would we live if insects no longer existed?[/b]
When is the last time you were stung by a wasp? Or were followed by a cloud of midges? Or saw a butterfly? All these normal occurrences are becoming much rarer. A groundswell of research suggests insect numbers are in serious decline all over the world - in some places by over 90%.The Insect Crisis explores this hidden emergency, arguing that its consequences could even rival climate change. We rely on insect pollination for the bulk of our agriculture, they are a prime food source for birds and fish, and they are a key strut holding up life on Earth, especially our own.In a compelling and entertaining investigation spanning the globe, Milman speaks to the scientists and entomologists studying this catastrophe and asks why these extraordinary creatures are disappearing. Part warning, part celebration of the incredible variety of insects, this book highlights why we need to wake up to this impending environmental disaster."www.allenandunwin.com/browse/book/Oliver-Milman-Insect-Crisis-9781838951177
Are there different levels of banning like the footy? Eg below
50m for stupidity
1wk for yelling obscenities
4wks for going the head with ya boot
8wks for accidentally rooting the captains girlfriend
Life ban for throwing full UDLs at the white maggots
Pub ban for not shouting a round after a win
Asking for a friend.
Analysis of our power since battery and extra panels.

Battery and extra panels went in on the 6th, that's when the system was shut down for the most of the day.
14th was an update and again system shut down for a while.
19th was completely, overcast all day, so no export and house ran on the battery most of the time. this dropped it down to 37% charged.
a little bit of solar in the arvo got it back to 62%
Interesting thing is a constant 50W drain on the grid. My theory is the inverter grid monitoring cct, that won't be running off battery or solar. but 50W seems a tad high for a bit of monitoring electronics.
The inverter on my boat uses about 20w of AC power just by being on.
Thanks cammd, I hadn't thought of that, it's not going to run on solar or battery either. so 50W while working makes more sense.
My new solar panel for the vans finally arrived so ill have electricity again. Also i wasnt banned.... not active enough on here get banned sadly.
I worked for a construction mob where it didnt matter how man ye you had worked for them that decided your rank what mattered was how many times youd been fired
