Happy NY first of all!
For my 20th kite season (last 12 exclusively on surfboards) I surprised myself with a mutant (Airush Shredder). I've never rode a mutant, I transited from TT to SB without much problem long time ago.
Now, after two sessions on the Shredder, I am indeed surprised how different it is from a surfboard and how difficult it is to switch.
I am asking those who ride both mutant and SB regularly, could you put together a few key points what you do differently on a SB and a mutant, and what I need to watch for to have a bit steeper learning curve / transition. I want to keep riding both SB and mutant depending on conditions...

My mutant was stolen yesturday, Now i need to make a new one asap.

I have heard of mutants making a comeback being called things like "directional optimised TTs"

If you know of one please post it here. I need inspiration/ideas for my build asap.

So what was everyone frothing on this season?
For me it was the lunar lander , unreal in waves up to head high , holds rail real good , rides both ways without any hassle and not to shabby at boosting as well

I have a newbie board with very little rocker (134) what do you guys think on upgrading to a 141 tronic for the ocean. I am 90kg and have a 11m switch

Gday fellas.. Keen on hearing from anyone who rides a shinn monk or speedball at a beachie . I currently ride a jimmy Lewis model 3 and was looking at a second board to mix it up a bit... Before anyone starts going ( ride a surfboard it's fully sic) I do when I'm kiting and all year round when there's waves but I have been having way more fun on my tt sliding out the tail and boosting off the lip. I find with my jimmy Lewis it's a fine line between holding edge on a hard turn and fully sliding out down the face . The rails on my board are slightly rounded and was wondering if the monk or speedball was a bit sharper and performed well on the waves. Any feed back would be great

What would be good characteristics for a wave oriented TT?

I am toying with making my own TT, except I reckon you would need to vacuum bag for min wt, and haven't done that before.

Mako King "knock-off" or is there a better recipe?

The Alkita type looks good? Many peoples out there shelled out for one like Cauncys'?
