If you are going in the ocean you need a strapless surfboard

Before going to the surfboards I got a well rockered twinny - and had a ball - it was a Cabrinha Custom 133 and it turned nicely in the waves !! Im 93 kg but don't know what wind you ride in ?? Any board with more rocker will need more power to get it going.

Jm your kite is important to board size,
Just as important as weight to size
If you've a nitro( higher powered) a 135/ 42ish board with decent rocker will do the trick
The lower you go in performance ie infinity( low powered kite) then I'd look at 140/42,
general wind strengths come in to play
Rocker, flex and outline are massively important for a ocean tt

The Tronic is a great choice for the surf I doubt you'll be disappointed with it.
its power hungry and has a small board feel so you might want to consider the 145 but that depends on what your local winds do.
I have the 141 (80kg) which feels good for me.

You must have a low powered kite or low winds for that weight/ board size combo?

I was thinking of a Ozone Reo/North Neo 12m for 20-25knots with tronic

Both wave kites, neo is certainly more powerfull than the reo, both will deliver enough power in that range for said weight on a 135ish board, the reo will require more input and kite movement throughout, the catalyst would be more on a par with the neo than the reo

East coast
switchblades/drifters but I do like to be well powered on a twinny

Beerhunter is right. The elipse shape of the tronic cuts back surface area and makes it ride like a smaller board than the length suggests. It will ride smaller than the current 134 low rocker board.
I second the choice of 145 tronic. That will be similar to the 134 for wind range on any given kite.

Johnny Mack, the tronic goes a treat.
I'm on the 141 and it handles a wave well. Have been mixing it up in flat water and surf and it hasn't missed a beat.
Sounds like you're around a similar level to me and I have to push pretty hard to find the limits of the board.
Can give you a trial of mine if I catch you out in the water one day.

If you want to get into the surf and are not ready for a strapless surfboard how about a mutant. I've been riding an Axis Twin Wave in the surf for a few years now and can highly recommend them.

Quite possibly the most painfull board I've ridden in strong winds on the ocean, the transfer of chop through the board to your body is a factor, in lower winds with swell( ie sections of flat between), it was nice, the underground srf, was more comfortable , alkita, speedball, really felt the axis needed some kind of padding underfoot for our conditions,

Have to disagree Cauncy, not because it's mine. Super fine in strong winds and ocean swells. Had mine for 2 years now. The demo one I rode had standard soft footstraps. I didn't like the feel so I put surfboard deck grip on mine (see photo - no padding). Much better now for hard carving turns since it allows for subtle foot placement. I must admit that the 2016 model is a little stiffer than mine, maybe this will account for a harsh ride. Mind you, my heels are a little tender after a solid session. I'm using narrow surf straps too so my feet are loose.
