After the Near death experience in Japan the other week, decided to get on with buying the new SUP I've been thinking about (life is too short). Lou from Eastcoast set me up with a Coreban Icon Pure, and even dropped it over on a very wet monday. Haven't had a chance to get out until this arvo. Bondi was closing out on the approaching low so took the long trip over the bridge and ended up in Manly.
Managed to stand on it without falling off (I am coming off an 11'6" Southpoint), and paddle out. It is very stable, if a bit more twitchy than the old one. Also turns for waves much easier.
Wobbled around a bit and then managed to get a few nice clean waves in the offshore. The board is way way faster than the Southpoint and much easier to manouvere. Got it set up as thruster. Had a great couple of hours before heading into the traffic home..... feeling like Ivan. Am going down down to my mates place at Gerroa over the weekend and really looking forward to that.
