Today my brother and i went to a place called Port Flinders (growing up it was always called weroona island but the official name is the one you will find on the maps) Its been a very hot week her down south with the weather here not getting under 39 degrees for the last 8 days, todays temp is 41 and there hasn't been a breath of wind for days so we thought why not have a crack at some open water cruising since my brother is still finding his sea feet
i thought the calm water would be ideal.

Everyone calls it an island but its actually not just looks it from the road.
Port Flinders is a great little community that doesnt have any shops or businesses and none of the local residents want any either. The island is has great fishing and the blue crabs that are everywhere there and are a great feed.
