Hi all,

i was just going thru some older sup photo's in my pc and i found this particular one.
You forget how cool it must look to the general public when they see some guys/girls standing on water with a stick LOL.

I think it's cool. Photo was taken at currumbin about 8 months ago.

Great photo Angie, it does look funny when a whole lot of people are standing up crusing about in the flat water.

It was actually about 3ft that day but huge lulls inbetween sets. Think we were all out for about 5 hrs that morning. Ocean was like oil slick all morning!

Oliver, have a close look in the top right hand corner,If you know the spot you can see the wave starting to form out the back.
This photo would have been taken out wide!

Yes it's St Kilda marina.

We get protection from the southerlies by the breakwater wall so we often get glass on one side and choppy on the other..

Paddle across one day and I'll drive you back if the wind comes up.

Hi Angie

They remind me of "Meer Cats" on water somtimes .

A mate of mine coined a beauty the other day "Pole Dancers"

That is just positively heavenly angie. It looks like gods children have rised with the sunrise and begun they pilgrimage across the waters of the dead sea.

It looks spooky and very weird doesnt it?.....lol. Those surfers will be wondering whats going on when see that! Well they would be if there were waves there. But thats the beauty of SUPing. We dont need waves to surf!

Here's a similar one from the Cape Cod Bay Challenge. This was at the start...

We joked about what it must have looked like to the people in on the beach in Provincetown when we came paddling in from the open ocean. we had a bright sunny finish
