A monsoon trough extends over the southern Gulf waters. The monsoon trough will shift further south over the Gulf Coast over coming days as a tropical low [1002 hPa] moves southwest into North West Queensland and away to the southeast on Sunday.
Weather Situation for North Queensland
A trough extends along the North Queensland coast and will push further south into Central and southern Queensland on Sunday, allowing a northerly flow to persist across northern Queensland waters over coming days.
Weather Situation for South Queensland
A trough lying over the Wide Bay will shift south into South East Queensland waters this evening. A low pressure system is likely to deepen along the trough near the South East Queensland Coast during Sunday, before shifting offshore during Monday. A ridge of high pressure will develop across southern Queensland waters from Tuesday.
