Maybe the narrow board sort of reduces how much pressure you can put on it?
Their wings are usually be very thin so it'll be interesting to see if they go a bit thicker for user friendliness.

He does mention it being thicker for slow speeds...

I suppose it will be used like the 1550cm SAB foil. Mostly used in dock start pumping around, and maybe in the very lightest of wing conditions.
I think most stress exerted on our gear comes from pushing up wind with high speeds, and jumping, rather than just pure leverage. But I'm sure some will push it beyond and end up having do some repairing.

Those poor little M6 bolts holding it all together. I would chip those wingtips so fast, that said I look forward to the reviews on this thing. I knew they were coming out with a big HA wing, but wasn't expecting this big.

I guess this is a HA arms race to pumping records.SAB , Axis and now Gong.
Cannot see this wings doing anything very interesting (like turn:) )
Too slow in roll and too early a tip breach.

I would prefer manufacturers to focus in more sophisticated concepts like the box/prandtl/infinity wing.

But i guess this humongous span&ha is a road that has to be travelled in the name of progress :).

Really hard to turn if you aren't foiling.
All of these are being made with simply foiling as the priority. Getting them to turn tightly will likely involve the tips breaching.

I think the goal is to make pumping foils so efficient that mere mortals can go for 15min or so, there is loads of people who are going through the super steep learning curve of dockstarting just to foil 1 or 2 mins.

With a wing like this and a PVC launcher (floating or dock attached) the learning curve could become almost mellow.A tiny pump board and a big wing would be a kinda "water bycicle".

BTW Sroka company is joining this "longer than thou" fray.

Yes it does ,but it is just PVC pipe molded with heat gun :)
For big bends you have to fill the pipe with sand or similar and plug it,so the walls will not collapse.

Here used windsurfing gear can be found for nothing.
I wonder if it could be a solution, they even come with a soft grip already installed :-)
