If you translate this into more straight forward language they are basically saying the market is flooded with good v2/v3 single skins that do the job well but don't necessarily move the needle. Hence the need to bring something different.
The rumours I have heard are they will be releasing a hybrid. I am kinda thinking hybrid is the future. Best of both worlds, looks like 777 already has another hybrid model in the works.
Interesting to see what BRM will be offering. Hopefully turns out better than the Paia, so many Paia's on the second hand market almost so soon after release is a really bad sign. Especially if you paid the $2000+ price tag:
I think the issues with twin skins in general is that they are harder to fly properly, more bulky to pack up and need way more power to make them work. Thats just second hand information on my part but does seem to be the general consensus.
I often check the FB parawing buy and sell page, an international page, and for a while there it seemed like every second post was a BRM Paia. That was not long after their release. I think a lot of riders just didn't have the conditions to make them work.
I got that email too and am very stoked to see what new stuff drops next week. I would love to get a new 3m for the season!

I 100% agree, I have the 3.1m and need nuking conditions. So much material on stow and small sweet spot to fly. Also likes to fly high and I prefer to keep my parawing low just off the water. I am keeping mine for those nuke days and when I feel like flying something different. I still 100% prefer the Ka'a and haven't seen anything on the market that looks like a big upgrade. Seems to me that F-ONE and OZONE have just caught up to the Ka'a with their recent models. It will be interesting to see if BRM can again show everybody who is boss!

I had the chance to see one today, and it's a very[/b] interesting parawing.
I wasn't allowed to take pictures. The handle is absolutely innovative-you can clearly tell BRM doesn't pay attention to competitors' products. It is absolutely different from any other handle in the marketThe material is even thinner, and the line composition is amazing.We'll all see it in a few days, but I was very positively surprised.Apologies for not being able to share more.

My guess is some sort of oval/elliptical handle system. Gets rid of the need for a yoke and offers some sort of power/depower system that feels super ergonomic.

Think super small oval ring big enough for 2 hands but similar in size to V2 bar so much more compact and stowable compared to other Parawing bars on the market. Again I'm just speculating and have no insider knowledge.

Full on go-cart mini steering wheel style! Could be great ergonomically with back hand at 12:00 and front hand a 9:00 or 3:00 depending on the tack. Could make transitions super intuitive as well.

Instead of trying to gatecrash everyone else's promotions with your posts why don't you just set up your own thread. It's getting a bit tiresome &as someone interested in 777 for my next PW, it really puts me off the brand.

If hybrids have a future then there is plenty to improve upon from the 777. Maybe for over 20 knots a hybrid might make sense but more likely the reliable PW companies will have the same performance or likely better in a single skin. The only thing that 777 hybrid is delivering over a PR or frigate right now is comfort in very strong gusty winds. But you do give up so much for that, response, weight, bulk, price and pack away.

Well we are in our off season in Western Australia and winds are variable as can be. I'm having a great time on the 4.3m hybrid and haven't experienced anything that goes upwind in such a huge wind range. From 15 to over 30 knots I'm out pointing others consistently. Low end is more than acceptable and pack down is fantastic, packing down to almost nothing. Only downside is lack of dynamic feel and low end jibing but this just takes more skill and more than attainable. I'm keen to try this new BRM and remain a huge supporter of the brand but it's going to take a very good offering to take me away from the hybrid at this time of year, the wind range is just so good.
I think in a time where it seems every brand is just trying to to ghost the competition I think it’s pretty cool to see Greg just doing his own thing and constantly innovating. The S3 really seems to have targeted every weak point of current pw designs. Would love to try one. Have to admit I am a bit skeptical of the D Handle but you can swap it for a straight bar which is nice. Pretty cool actually that he is simplifying the range this year and just has the S3. No double skin or hybrid coming according to his overview video. Sounds like the increased bridles to the canopy gives you the best possible experience with good low end(including pumping) and good high end stability. And some how the new canopy material is 20% thinner!
Having said all of that I am still happy with my v1 Maliko and I am not in a rush to upgrade 🤓
I ordered the 5.3m as our light wind season approaches, looks interesting but not what I imagined. Hope the shovel handle works ok with gloves on.

Can you comment on riding toeside with the D-Handle? I don't switch stance and kinda concerned. Hopefully I'll just be able to hook in and put my one hand just behind the harness point to control the sheet in/out.
