i was out at golden bay and the down wind was no good because it was light 15 - 25 knot gusts to tack back in i was out nearly a kilometer offshore to gain upwind. and i think i pissed of a bunch of tailor fisherman.
the reason why i highlighted this stretch of beech is because it the only available onshore* in the area but its protected by outers unfortunately.and obviously non breaking (thanks to the people who have been there)
its the next bay across from saftey bay pt kenedy.
it would have a clear safe zone out and alternatively a clear wave sailing passage in.
some of the swell gets in to saftey bay pt kenedy.but there is no banks ther for a breaking wave and its slop.
if you surf that stretch it better getting drop off and pick up down wind.
The flatwater on the north side of long pint is good for speed sailors and im supprized this spot isnt a kitesurfing spot.i can inwordly affirn that if you run into trouble using speed sails in offshore and end up in trouble out past the protected zone you may infact have to ditch you crap and swim for your life back into the wind
its a shame the rockingham mandurah council hasn't opened up that point
i might send the councils an email in the next few days and chance up some answers.
as we have seen from previous emails to the
Cocburn shire asking for amenity's such drinking water, showers /general hygiene and safety e.g walkways beech access to woodies, i will probably once again be redirected to an onslaught of council pollies redirecting me to the state goverment and the department of conservation and land management. and the continual runaround of " talk to this person" for answers.= waste of time
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ if the traffic in the pool is that busy, Why a short term resolution? shire should open up the other half of its coastline for public access as a long term plan rather than cover its ass for a public liability?Sign is a short term garbage council liability cop out.
here is a clearly modified sign that will resolve the traffic in the pool.
