Hello everyone

The astute and long lined El Presidente Houston has collaborated with the younger and shorter lined members to confirm there will be a wavesailing gathering at Marrawah on the 4-5 of Janurary.

The event will be run in the same format as the southern wave comp held recently. This format allows all competitors to sail in the same amount of heats and seeds sailing ability accordingly.

If no wind, then surf, sup, dive, fish, swim, wombat or whatever.

Nice cruisey looking forecast for Marrawah. Not looking too ballistic, be nice to sail waves up there in 20-25 kts.

I'll be sailing at Marrawah tomorrow (Thursday) afternoon. Saturday is looking pretty good for either Greens or BOL.

The weather last sat was to good to miss front beach Cremorne 27degrees 20 knots flat smoothish water and high tide add 1/2 meter of silver duct tape around ankle for piece of mind and probably coming back from injury made it the best sail I have had in a long time
More rehab at the falls festival now I am keen for marrawah and some small waves . This is such a cool addictive sport , be it cruising flat water or mast high waves powered by the earths weather systems , Mother Nature ect ...

Had a couple of fun sessions at Greens yesterday in over head sets with a 5.0.
Looking pretty sh%t for me over the next.......how ever fkn long. patella problems with right knee aren't the issue anymore its the tear on the inside that's slowing me down

Some photos from Greens this morning. Conditions where not ideal but it was great watching, Ant, Gary and Nick on the water. The morning sail was followed by a sailing session at BOL where Nick, Gary, Alan and Ant went out. This was by far the more entertaining session of the day, but sadly my camera battery had run out so I have no photos of Ant destroying his gear, Gary manouvering between the rocks to shore, Nick trying the same re-entry and Alan arriving in the channel with a head of dry hair. The afternoon also involved gear recovery, a bogged vehicle, and Ant's daughter saying, 'Now I remember why I don't like to come and see dad sail.' Gill

Awesome day Greens was the best I think I've ever sailed it with the larger sets close to three quarter mast with 5.3 sails. Got rinsed a few times but what's new.
Went to BOL for the afternoon session looked pretty messy but when you picked a good set it cleaned up. Al came out for the first time, nick didn't miss a beat, Gary put a nasty gash in his fin on the reef and as usual I got carried away went in far too deep and got smashed on a close to mast high set......... Again nothing new. Had a pretty long swim and my gear got picked up by Wazza the other side if the shack and contrary to vicious rumours did not have a scratch on it ........ Then got bogged for the third time for the weekend.
Bad luck to Buzzy who stuffed bus knee big time on thurs so could not partake in the action......... You would have creamed it mate
