Carl, good news the lake is getting better every week, sailed of the 5 mile on the weekend and only 20 metres walk out. by the way the channel is flowing sea water in the crusty demons will be getting wet by the long weekend.

Hey jimbob,

A mate & myself went for a look early last year, the pics you're posting look 100% on what the conditions were like then!! Keep it up!

Q1. Can you drive through the property to get to the spit? We went as far as the hiace would take us along the shore-track.

Q2. Big board, or small? My fastest is a 165lt! Might have to ask a couple of mates for a 'lender'!

I can feel a road-trip comin' on!

sailhack, drive out from beachport on the gravel road then around the lake then just close the gate behind you as there is cattle in this paddock, after the gate you go over some rocky hills (go slow and you will make it easy)you will see the spit and big lake from here then go through a cattle grid and follow the track out to the spit, Uncle Kev who owns the lease on this land has no trouble with us camping there and allows access to all. sail whatever as everyone is casual and out for a good weekend. for board volume the lake is more saltier than the sea. see the onboard event forum for more info, hope to see you there.

That looks awesome Jimbob, so much more water in the lake now that what was there at easter,

Although the motor bike crew (crusty demons) wont like the lack of dirt to play on!

Hey Jimbob,

Thanks for the update and the photo's. The lake looks good compared to Australia Day long weekend. If we can have some decent wind this time we wont need crusty demons to give us a demo.

See you there,

Carl.
