Ahh the old hare and the tortise race. You boy's on wave gear should be able to snake everyone on the turns or atleast catapualt your self through the field like a connon ball, Vikki might be someone to have on your side if you want to use this technique, heard she has the technique perfected now. It was the gear holding her back before I think, needed lighter gear and she's hooked in now so the transfer of power as she goes over the bars will be !!DEVISTATING!! for all those who get in the way. Have fun.

Yeah - not as easy to find as I thought. Home had a choice of "beech", "marble" and "cherry". Big W had zip. Mitre 10 came through with black. Will Nylex "Cover-it" do the trick ?

I've only just realised. I'm not a member of WindsurfingSA ! Arrgh !, what do I do ? <panick attack>

All we need to do is make sure somebody fully rigs up, packs up and then goes home. The delivery of a sacrificial windsurfer will please the wind gods.

Just to reply to some questions above. I got some vinyl from Mitre 10 Brighton. And it's true - if you want a Pokemon theme is it easily done :-)
I left the AUS off my sail - just put the "19" on, seeing I'm not planning on any international events. (Might not be what you want to hear Tonto!) If anyone wants to tape an "X" on for the day, it will be better than nothing.

Looks like a stinker this morning (Sunday, 7am), but the forecast for the south central coast is looking do-able. Sunday until midnight : Wind: N/NE 8/13 knots shifting S/SW 13/18 knots from the west from mid morning and extending throughout by early evening, reaching 18/23 knots west and south of Kangaroo Island from mid afternoon.

Thanks to everyone who turned up yesterday at the Murray Mouth. Unfortunately we were skunked by the wind, but at least there was some relief from the heat. Nice to see Dr Duck pulling off some impressive moves on the Kona (freestyle master) and good to see some others out on the water glugging around on their biggest gear with a couple of seals for company. Two planing runs were managed late in the day, but they were hard work.

The next scheduled event is not until January, but we still need to make up for some missed events, so will keep an eye on the weather and try and grab another windy Sunday before Christmas.

Thanks again to everyone who made the effort.

This Sunday looks like it might be windy - S/SW 20-30 (Sth Coast).

Shall we try and do some slalom racing? It'd be nice to get at least one round in....
