Today I borrowed Waricles Loft 100% RDM.
Doesn't look much different and the gap at the clue is still the same.

Now I just have to wait for some wind to see if there's any difference on the water

I managed to buy the Gen 2, 5.6 & 6.8m HA (2027) pre-production sails from SurfSail Australia, 2 sessions on the 6.8m so far and I am blown away. Buttery smooth acceleration, perfect control and balance - The new range could be a game changer in the evolution of windsurfing and windfoiling. Once I've had a few more session and tried the 5.6m I'll drop a review.

I had the 5.6 out in light wind with a loft 4.0 RDM, worked a treat, light and effortless once planning. So bottom end is great just need some stronger wind to test the top end.

Picked up Dave's 5.0 today, tried to rig it on the 370mast, but it needs a huge extension, that I don't have.
I rigged it on Waricle's 4.0, and it fits fine, but I don't think it's ideal, I'm going to borrow his long extender and see if there any difference.
Pics to follow.

thanks Tardy, but it's more complicated than that.
First attempt failed because I just pasted the pics straight onto the page, and it crashed the site loosing my post. 2nd at tempt failed when I edited my first post, about 4hrs later. it said some thing like, post too old.
I spat the dummy, because I'd spent ages on it, all gone up in smoke with no result.
A direct picture paste attempt into the old site, did nothing, so then you remember you have to go through the process of saving the pic and navigating to it.
Surely it would be much better, when trying to edit a post to be told at the start that the post is too old to edit, start a new one?
So I'm still a bit miffed I'm afraid.
I know Laurie is trying to get this right and there was a long beta phase, but this didn't happen then.

OK I'm back on the old site so I'll have another go.
Here's the sail on the loft 400 RDM Downhaul at +3 outhaul on -2, sail very hard to rotate.

Then I rigged it on a KA 370 RDM and a Patrick 370 RDM, couldn't see any difference between them, both set to spec, gave right downhaul and outhaul.
It needed a moderate pump to rotate in zero wind.

Now that wasn't so hard was it?????

ok mate ,its a pity .Your in-depth write ups are more than I can understand and I'm sure it was a good one ,,I am hopeful these sails work out for you ,they certainly
look great ,I was hoping to change to a few of the larger size race sails but Patrik has some unusual size mast like 480 and 520 missing the 490 ,which I have ,then a hugely long mast base on them which has scared me off them .
And then I don't know if they will work with my Duotone SDM mast and Severne so I will stick with the brand I know will work with my mast .I know a few guys over east that are having good results with their RDM Ezzy 91 % mast using the GT3.to be honest I believe race type sails work best with 100 % mast .at high speed that extra return to normal sail shape is nice .you just need a **** load of money to back it up .the last picture of the sail looks a lot better than the first rig up .wouldn't it be nice is there was only one mast supplier for all sails ...HA as if .

yes, there's not much seam shape, so the cams are doing a lot of the work, but it still rotates fine.

Phil I saw an interview with Patrik not long after he released the race sails and he saidthat the smaller sizes where probably compatible with Neil Pryde masts and the larger sizes with Severne. Merena runs the 5.2 Race+ with a Neil Pryde mast (RDM) and it sets really well. Jayden did his 2 sec and 5x10 pb's with that rig so it sort of validated it for us. Jayden had a Patrik SDM mast extender but it sort of messed with the bottom cam.

Its also on the patrik website that the smaller sizes are flextop orientated and the lager sizes constant curve .

I wonder if Patrik are like Neil Pryde .
340-370 = FT
400-490= CCFT
520+ = CC
