ok, i'm putting this one out to everyone.

basically redcliffe beaches were still closed yesterday and large numbers of dead fish are being washed up including stone fish.... areas north of brisbane are in the problem zones including bribie, caloundra etc with debry and toxins.

so the closest option is see if VP which has been visited numerous times.

should we postpone another week or hit up VP?

Make a weekend of it at Cootharaba. No flood problems there.

Have the Windwanderers meet on Saturday and stay for the Bayside clubs races on Sunday.

Yes, I've had this on my mind. Been checking out Redcliffe the last few days. It's been pretty windy but today was the first day the beach didn't smell bad. Talked to a kiter who said that the water has become salty again so that's a good sign. He did say that there was still a fair bit of debris in the weater though. I had vague ideas of trying a sail tomorrow, but I realy, really don't want to hit a log/cow/wardrobe.

Is VP going to be any cleaner/less dangerous?

i can't confirm for sure about the sunny coast guys other than to say that i don't think it's as bad as redcliffe but from what i understand the mess from the floods is flowing northwards and there has been stuff picked up on the beaches up there.

yep VP will be better so the meet is once again on at VP!!!!! it's time to G everyone up and get the party started!!!!!!

high tide tomoorw is at 11.30 so we will hold the bbq earlier in the day than normal. the bbq's are at the eastern end in the carpark near the toilet block so that is the place to meet tomorrow.

i hope everyone stayed dry during the dissasters in brisbane and hope to see eveyone tomorrow.

cheers the g meister!!!!!

We have been swimming down at Dicky beach and taking the dog for a walk at Currumundi this week and havent seen any debris or brown water. Just really big swell massive sweeps changing direction, very powerful when you jump on the small kids boogie board and get hurtled towards the beach in only the shorebreak, it is probably a bit calmer by now
