I went down to VP with all the gear and sat in the car for an hour. Miserable. Looked like it was going to come up but no. So headed off home for a hot coffee and vanilla slice - Yum. Read the aper and still no wind. I made the right decision!!! Maybe tomorrow???

It was really nice today, and ... my right big toe feels his neighbor (which seems to be still asleep, drunk, half drowned or simply dead).
I went out at VP late. It looked like it was clearing and the wind shifted to se and picked up a bit. I thought "here it comes" and rigged a 5.8. I had about an hour or so before dark and it gusted to 15 3 or 4 times. Bit of a dredge fest but not a total write off.
20 km away they had a good 23 knots all arvo... mysterious.
