Swoosh,

Be careful of gear breakage on outgoing tide off Wynuum/Manly. I think you would struggle to just 'drift in'.

Earlier this year I stopped at a boat (moored in the bay) to let the owner have a sail of my kit. Tide was going out, in the time it took him to jump off the boat and swim to my board (with me holding it) it had drifted a good 25m (out to sea - aganst the onshore wind) . I also struggled to swim up to the board when we swapped back. - More current than you think.


All that said it is nice blast from Wynnum Creek to Wello. Up the Wynnum creek end on high tide it seems to get a bit chopped up with swell waves echoing off the rock wall - after half tide it gets smoother.
