The question is will I get the 4.5 and wave board going again; twas fun and good to catch up with u guys and meet some new friends.

HC did u sneek in a sail on the Coast before the big scarey cloud came over?

@HC: We saw those clouds in the south. No rain at VP. Dropped off a bit when we arrived around 12, but started blasting again till 3ish. And than ... BBQ!!! Perfect timing!
Thanks for organising Gestalt!!

we got one brief shower like someone suddenly turned the tap on full for about 20 seconds

if there is wind tomorrow i'm thinking of going up to vp

Or Wello? Will probably be there with Clinton, Andrew and Gundy in the morning/midday. Alternatively Manly.

Missed you by half an hour Haircut. I started at 12:30 at Shearwater but it slowly died out until about 3. Then something smaller than a 5.8 would have been good.

with you there doodah,

got home, sat on the couch and crashed. that was a great days sailing!

it was a mixed day, some hit the bank and some of us didn't when the wind started to play tricks later in the day. started off at 20-25 knots and gradually eased thruoghtout the day.

the wind died on some of the guys and a gear breakage out at the bank leading to a walk of shame or 2. what can i say. the strip stikes again!

by 5 in the arvo i was dead on my feet, great day and ready to do it again.

When I got there around 12:30ish, there were about 20 guys out and the wind was blowing 20 constant.... I just thought it would be in all day so didnt rush....

rigged up my 5.4 and by the time I got down to the water everyone had come in and it never really came back....[}:)][}:)][}:)][}:)][}:)]

disappointing as I know you guys would have been getting some good wind down there... the BOM redcliffe observation for looked awesome...

Sailed at redcliffe 3-5pm, 5.0 wave board fully powered until big southerly shift around 5:30. Those leaving at 3ish said 4.5-4.7 was the go pretty much all arvo.
