Heads up guys the wanderers xmas party is being planned for first weekend in Jan.
Either Sat 2nd or Sun 3rd, at this early day sunday is looking the best. date confirmed closer to time.
all the usual fun plus pressies and a give away and this year, BEER! 
the plan is to name the location closer to the date when the forecast locks in.
location will be selected depending on conditions. so:-
Mooloolaba if Northerly,
Suttons Beach if Sou Easter
Thomsons beach if Cyclone.

For sure that sounds good, im hiring a house up in coloundra for the week, few windsurfers from sydney are coming up to see what its all about, any problems if they come along? BTW, wind came in up her and delivered a nice N/E, spent 4 hours flying up and down, loving it. Nice crowd up here to

Synoptic Situation
A trough of low pressure is approaching SW Queensland. A new high is expected to
form in the Great Australian Bight today and push a vigorous S'ly change
"southerly buster" up the New South Wales coast during Sunday. This S'ly change
expected to reach Point Danger late Sunday morning and move rapidly north to
Double Island Point by the late afternoon. Expect SE trade winds to persist
following the change for the outlook period.
Strong Wind Warning
Double Island Point to Point Danger, including Moreton Bay.
Expect S/SE change 25/30 knots extending northwards from Point Danger Sunday
morning and reaching Double Island Point by late Sunday afternoon. Sea: rising
to 2.5 metres following the change.
looks like VP gets the nod.
i will be there around 10.30 to set things up and if it's windy i'll be looking at getting on the water as early as possible.
high tide is around noon so bbq and lucky draw etc will be mid arvo. depending on the wind.
the late arvo tide is .3m,

it's a bummer shearwater's got no bbq and dunnies. got perfect tide for it tomorrow
agree, have wanted to have a meet there but the lack of amenity is a problem.
that's why we usually end up at the train.
looking at the graphs it seems the change is just starting to reach balina, better make that byron.

I am still in Ingham, glad I didn't bother to drag any gear up here as there has been no wind.
I'm looking at the nice southerly change today and wishing you all a great sail.
