Hi Wanderers,
Next meet is being planned for this coming weekend 14/15th at Redcliffe,
day will be decided a little closer once the forecasts have settled.
will look towards Queens North or Suttons depending on wind direction.
hope to see everyone out on the water.
New to the area so im up for that for sure, do you have to become a member or can i just turn up for a sail, also have some gear im more than happy to lend out for the day etc
I think that the slalom races are on at the Lake on Sunday 15th Nov
Hopefully Windwanderers can meet on the Saturday!
Hi adrian, no worries, saturday is my preference normally.
Hi dave do we need to use the funny accent also.
Hi Lee, yes we need people to be members that atted the events. the membership is very very affordable and the club runs on the smell of an oily rag. ![]()
that said, definatley come along and check things out. if you think the setup is in your liking then join up and join in. ![]()
Hi Mr Spag, fingers crossed. ![]()
just looking at the windwanders web site, there is no membership info on there? how do i get to join??
still watching the forecast.
if it fails to blow we will adjust the date as per the usual setup.
p.s. the wanderers club agreed to buy a starboard start today. ![]()

Hi wanderers,
we will push the meet back 2 weeks as the forecast is not looking so good. we set a minimum start position for green arrows on the forecasts.
i do believe we will get some wind this weekend but how much and when is very difficult to say.
cheers
J
Yeah, but you've gotta go with the forecast.
11 sailors a Queens yesterday - outnumbered kites by a wide margin.
Sunday 22nd looks like it is going to be a cracking day at Queens beach! The kiters may take up all the car parks
Looks hopeful for a good weekend's sailing. I'm carb loading now in anticipation. Going to need lots of energy.
hi guys,
yes i'm back, i've been in kingscliff since early wednesday and got back last night. i had a familly birthday party to attend.
i got my eye on the forecast and next weekend is pencilled in for the wanderers meet. if the forecast doesn't play we will just keep going until we get wind.
fingers crossed.
sunday looks the goods so far.
i will keep everyone informed and confirm. location is still redcliffe queens beach north.
might have to drop around for a look, seems like a fairly short drive from my place, possibly closer then wello, suppose it depends on traffic. i'm sick of **** wind at wello.
We'll be able to get my membership sorted out, Justin.
Redcliffe went off last weekend. I'm hoping for another double header this weekend.
should be good, we have been able to sail here for 7 of the previous 9 days ... Reddy always gets the best winds
cheers ian for the map;
redcliffe has certainly had most of the wind over he last few weeks.
also no probs sorting out memberships at the meet. i'll bring some extra forms.
hi Lee,
i'll shoot through the details tonight. shame you will miss the meet.
also if anyone wants any photos give me a yell at the meet and i'll try to single you out of the pack. i'm taking the camera and hoping to take advantage of the higher ground around the bay. should provide a different angle looking down instead of eye level.
That's it! I remember you taking that photo on Sunday morning before the wind came in.
There was a huge queue of girls lining up for lessons. Pity we couldn't fit them all in. I suppose we'll catch up with them this weekend.
hi guys,
other than the photo of my wife you guys seem to have gotten your hands on.! ![]()
can you tell me if there is any kids play equipment at queens north?
cheers.
