Anyway, I think tomorrow will be my early mark day this week, session at manly around 4 I think. Hope my 5.3 arrives soooooon.
Bart, freestyle practice session!
got a couple of hours in on the Goldy, was just enough for the 5.7.
Still two days on the water this week = me being pretty happy ![]()
I got out from Manly and sailed between Wello and Wynum on 7.7 and SB117..
was great for 1 1/2hrs then, I heard a big crack and hit the water at full speed... - hanging onto half of my old carbon boom... tis no more now.. no other damage and got a bonus fitness workout of about 1/2 hr getting the gear nack to Manly..
Great session tho..
Dave
awesome, great to hear people got out. i'm excited. people at work this morning have been looking at me funny, i must be way too chipper for 7am in the morning.
Now I just have to see if I can get away from work around lunch time today... Hmmm
If this is any indication it could be a killer season.
Sitting at home (Wellington Pt) looking at trees there starting to stir will be heading down soon foots a bit better so I'm gonna give it a go today.
Phils got the day off so just waiting for him to call me it should be good.

hey lee you heading to queens, i'll be down later this arvo in anticipation of the strong wind warning

...... well there is tomorrow, better howl ![]()
Good fun at Currumbin today. Bit gusty but a sail anyway. Good to get the cobwebs cleaned off the gear.
What was that!?
Thought I'd died and woken up in WA this afternoon!
Cannot remember the last time I had to swim for my gear cause the wind
And waves were blowing it away! Sunset session at Mooloolaba smashed me ,
Slalom board and race sail hardly the right tools of trade!
20-25 knots on the wind meter as the sun was setting!
Shark nets got me again, battens don't like 85kg at 25+ knots hitting them!
If this is a sign of things to come swapping slalom gear back to wave, would have been so much fun on small gear.
