we're a pretty cruisey bunch at VP and we like a chat so stand around in the water a bit. you could use the boys as the buoys.
Haha, I've noticed that. I was there only twice and found guys there very friendly and chatty, just a nice place to be.
A few of the Mob might try Victoria Point again tomorrow if anyone is interested. High tide is 11.30am at 2.6m and low at 6pm with 0.3m so the speed bank might even show itself????
I've also just noticed the wind prediction has changed for tomorrow and it's not going to be a strong as expected but never the less a few of us will be there to see what it's like.
Cheers
Marty
Martin - There's a few green arrows showing for the arvo, I'm targeting being there sometime after lunch. Will be good to catch up!
See you there Greg.
George - The only reason for VP is some of the Mob including Vando will not be at WP tomorrow so a few of us are going to VP instead. Only reason I've gone this option is I haven't windsurfed for 10 years (or more) so like the security of VP instead of the open bay at Wello until I'm back in the groove again. I'll try to stick to somewhere that will blow me back to shore in case something happens. With the regular Mob not at Wello, a few of us decided on Viccy Point instead. It will be less powerful than the bay and probably a little gusty but it is what it is.
Choice is yours mate.
Cheers

Thanks Marty, good points. I have not experience with Wello so will most likely see you at VP and leave Wello for next week when another locals are there, plus parking might be easier as well.
Fingers crossed for vp. May need the big sail so will bring the 6.4;-)
6.4???? I'm thinking about 9.2, 78 board and positive mind.

yeah, I tend not to rig big these days.
I was there from about 2 - 4.30pm and it wasn't too bad with 9.2 and 78 wide board. Planning all the time but only 25 knts max.
I'm glad I made the sacrificial "leaving the spot" so the wind could come in for you guys. The whole time I waited there would have been no more than 12knots in a gust and MOST OF THE TIME less than 8knot breeze. There was also a million picnickers there and every car spot taken. Oh well there is always next weekend (and a bigger board by the looks of it).
Cheers

We plan to go back on Wed & Thu if the forecast is true.
Yep it was a pretty good arvo at VP, good strong wind with some gusts over 25kts, but chop was quite big. Wind died after a front went through but after a lot of guys left the wind came back and was better than ever, probably not as choppy as the tide had gone out a bit. Good to meet some of the GC guys as well. I think they'll be back by the sound of it. Hey GC guys, we mostly rig from the western end of the park and leave the eastern side for the kites, but whatever...

Ok we'll follow the rigging process, it's just hard to pull the marker through the mud all the way to sandy area. But will figure something out and see you soon. Probably will be back again tomorrow.
It was nice to meet quite a few guys at VP today. I'm sure I'll see you soon, what a lovely place. And nice rigging area Greg, actually better then the one kitters use.
