Only a few days to go until the first course racing championships held in Queensland for a very long time.

If anyone hasn't got a raceboard but would like to join in, please contact me. We may be able to organise some loaners. We also have at least one Techno available.
Saturday night - The LCSC clubhouse and bar will be open for anyone who would like to hang out after the days racing. You can't bring your own alcohol since it is a licenced premises but the Bar prices are very cheap anyway.
Takeaway food including Pizza is available from the Boreen Point Store next to the clubhouse or you can bring your own food. The BBQ will be available for those that want to bring some meat and cook it.
I should also add that you don't need to come first to win.
Thanks to BOARD CRAZY sponsorship,
there will be some lucky draw prizes.
Forecast is looking up for the weekend, We have loaded the van with prizes, see you all there on Saturday

So close to the event- how about a role call for intended participant?
I'm in with my ancient Mistral (1991) and non competitive sail 8.5 sail. Have to support the event from the back of the field.
I still have some boards available if anyone wants to borrow one.
I will be there on Phantom 377 and probably severn raceboard 8.5 if the forcast keeps looking up.
So thats 2 of us- if no-one else turns up thats first and second place taken care of- hey this is looking good.
Tony's already reserved the best stuff for me...Sunday looks promising , so does Neil st in the waves this arvo!
1 by year 2002 F2 lighting. Resurfaced, new straps with year 2000 dunker beck 50cm course fin.
1 by severne 9.5 Raceboard sail with adjustable down haul and outhaul.
I think we will end up with more than thirty sailboards on the Start line Saturday.
15 RSX and techno and 15 to 20 raceboards. Should be a great weekend.
Remember all are welcome at the clubhouse Saturday night BYO food or get some takeaway at the Boreen point shop.
I'm heading up to Boreen Pt this afternoon with my superlight II. I'll try and keep you company Handyman but suspect I'll follow you in. See you all there. Is anyone else camping at Boreen Pt tonight?
Electric conditions out there today! ideally electric motor or fan would have worked best.
Some fun had anyway and sailing rule lessons at the club bar afterwards enlighting us that, two hooters, is actually a start recall. Noted.
How was it- Simply one of the best run regatta's you could ever hope to attend. Saturday wind, or total complete lack of any movement of air was tragic- like seriously still with a number of sailors paddling boards back to the club- so we had a dose of no-wind pumping to open the event.
Sunday- seriously good- three races one after another, cracking good wind for the 9.5m sails many had up, great starts- pretty hectic on the start line, good length of course and angles were pretty good. Raceboards were flying with the RSX going in and out of the fleet like fighter jets and the Techno's backing em up all the way.
Sunday lunch break followed by another 2 races in dropping wind conditions- so overall something to suit everybody and a thorough test of skills in a range of conditions.
Great to see Simon at Board Crazy sponsoring the event then being prepared to got out and show most of us how it should be done- very hard earned QLD State Title 3rd place, James (all the way from Sydney) taking 2nd with the local guy, Leo Sharp taking out 1st place to add to his National Title from Hawks Nest. I am not sure of the results for the RSX and Techno- someone else will need to fill in those gaps. The quality of the field was really impressive with a number of the top sailor from the National attending.
Particular mention of Tony Matta and his race/ club crew- what a great job you all did. Better pencil it in for next year- I for one hope this becomes an annual event and the home for the QLD State Titles.
RSX , 1st Joanna Sterling, 2nd David Sterling, 3rd Pat O'Brien.
Techno, 1st Lara O'Brien, 2nd Tom Walker, 3rd Emma Baillie.
Thanks to all who attended. You are all welcome to race at LCSC any time at our other regattas and for Sunday club racing.
Great post Paul. I couldn't said it better. A fantastic day's racing. I'm feeling the aches and pains this morning.
Thanks again to Simon, Tony and LCSC.
Can we access the overall results and photos of the regatta on line?
Great Weekend thanks to LCSC, Lance, Tony and Boardcrazy. Well done Leo.
That's a great little club and an ideal place to sail. I even enjoyed the paddle home.

Top photos as well.
Sorry I missed it - just couldn't organise things to get there - maybe next year.
I couldn't be there on the weekend, but I want to thank Board Crazy for sponsoring another local event. Simon, your support is widely appreciated across town.
Kudos to you.
