Well myself and many others I know say "Yes, those types of Developments would still create jobs and employment if they are built in current suitable deemed Zones, where they won't so heavily impact on the Environment and Traditional Recreational Users and if those Developers, Sunland are going to spend $600 million on their Development and ASF/Packer are going to spend $3 billion then surely these guys can spend a couple of $100 million on acquiring or amalgamating sites in suitably deemed zones to build their So Called Iconic Structures to appeal to Wealthy Chinese for their recreation, entertainment and investment purposes and a handful of Aussies as a by-catch to their product

As per recent studies I have done, I have found scientific researched information that shows wind effects can effect up to 20 to 25 the distance x the height of an object or building and up to 5 times the distance x the height in front of the object. So there is huge potential that it will effect winds all the way to Shearwater as well once "THE GREAT WALL OF MULTI STOREY DEVELOPMENT GETS BUILT ON THE MAIN BEACH SPIT". So I would not be counting my chickens on that and thinking everyone (Kiters and Windsurfers) are all going to all cram themselves down at Shearwater and Jennifer Avenue. So your suggestion is pretty baseless there

Also stuff the Kiteboarders and Windsurfers or the Yachts that sail past in those areas of the Broadwater from creating a massive wind break barrier and heat sink across the bay and on the Broadwater, dredge all the Broadwater Sand Bars and Kerlew Island (Just on the South Side of Wave Break Island, now seabird habitat) as per what Mayor Tom Tate's vision and intention is and have a penultimate Water sport Marine Stadium and Course for a once or maybe twice a year, power boat racing event, maybe that's if those racing events don't stop going broke and a have a beautiful big massive Cruise Ship Terminal Jetty of the Phillip Park (that the Cruise Ship Companies do not even support any Cruise Ship Terminal on the Gold Coast at all, due to there is not any real natural or anything like a suitable harbour of access facility for safe passage of there vessels on the GC when there is one just an hours drive up the road at Brisvegas) where massive, compromises to the environment and sea based dredging would have to occur to provide a facility (More than likely Tax Payer Funded as it would not be commercially viable for Private Enterprise to facilitate but they will gladly have Tax Payer funded infrastructure handed over to them for a song once built), and much of the seaside Federation Walk will be totally off limits to the public for the Terminal Facility and its exclusive car parking and bus facility, not to mention the potential where many times it's reported that Cruise Ships accidently spill there bilge water, oil and waste contaminants whilst docked and continually run their motors and generators whilst docked and pump out huge amounts of exhaust to blow in the faces and up the noses of the Wildlife, Surfboard Riders and Beach Users right up and down the Main Beach and T.O.S. all for a pair of Chinese Copy Loius Vuitton Budgie Smugglers and me and my kids getting a job as a Live In Butler or Maid, being Butt Ferked by my RICH MASTERS in the name of Jobs and Growth and people who want to see the Main Beach Spit raped and exploited so a limited few can make a $ FINANCIAL KILLING now with no regard for retaining any LOW LEVEL SYMATHETIC DEVELOPEMT WITH THE ENVIRONMENT OPEN VISTA AREAS and AREAS THAT WERE PROMISED AND ALLOCATED IN THE PAST FOR RECRERATION, ENJOYMENT AND ENTERTAINMENT PRECINCT FOR ALL PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF QUEENSLAND."
I finally get it now, Main Old Buddy, thanks for shedding and showing me the light on this subject, how wrong, short sighted, naïve and silly it has been of me. For the life of me, I do not know what overcame me and my previous ways of thinking and taken great concern (that very few are willing to get up off their behinds to help support) for upholding what was responsible and right for the Environment, vision and foreseeable consequences for what will happen once any of those Multi Storey Highrise Developments gain approval to be Developed for that area for which they are not Zoned and it's the State Owned Land that is practically going to be given away, when these Developers are not interested or prepared to purchase or amalgamate suitably Zoned land holdings in other areas appropriately Zoned for these types of developments of which there is a lot and many areas already on the Gold Coast available for these types of Developments as you, yourself as a Developer understands, Main my Man.
