Where is the best to place to be on GC ? 
I think about Shearwater as usuall by chop could be unbearable ...

Last time with broken mast I could stack ( on Crab Island ) for long hours, but been rescued by two kiwi's passing on jetski.
I have seakayak, I could bring, put on the beach so anybody could use in emergency.
What do you think ?

I think you will find that if it does hit 40knots there will be very few other water users out.
Personally I would recommend against the sea kayak idea, have you ever tried to paddle a sea kayak in 40 knots?? Try to use it for some sort of rescue and it is likely you will end up with two people needing a rescue. That is if the kayak doesn't blow down the beach and take someones head off first.
If you can't look after yourself in those conditions, especially in a closed body of water like the Broadwater, you should consider if you are actually equipped to be out there in the first place.
^ Just swim, like a man. Sheesh. If you can't swim back yourself don't go out in the first place.
Electrically controlled rescue vehicles? What next? A crack team to go with it, and a secret island hideout?

If the wind hits hard who gives a crapper about tides at shearwater, if you cant point against the tide over a km of water, maybe buy a jetski instead I'll be at sw.
^ Actually today is not so bad, but given a new moon and a 4 knot tide going with the wind:

Tide = 4 knots/8Kmh
Run out and back = 1Km
Average speed = 25 knots/50kmh
Time to run out and back = 60/50 = 1.2 minutes.
Tide travels in 1.2 minutes = 8kmh/50 = 160m
On a wave board I'd hazard that that is about 80% of your max upwind ability, don't forget the gybes at each end.
It's just not as fun going upwind all the time is all.
Also The Grand can be a blast.
Low tide is about midday and it takes a while to turn around. You probably have until 1pm before it is worth worrying about it. After that if it is windy enough it should be doable. its pretty southerly so still probably the best bet. I was hoping for more SE but might have to hit SW. Long time since last decent wind.
Yeah i know but it's better than getting blisters on my head from sunburn. Getting thin on top when my hair is wet. It's the only thing that will stay on and is quiet to wear while sailing. The bucket hat i used to wear was noisy as, like putting your hands around ears so the bandana is here to stay ya scoundrel
