On Saturday May 30, the Bayside Sailboard club will hold it's first Annual Club Dinner.

The location for this night of nights is the moreton bay trailer boat club. Doors open at 6.30pm and proceedings underway by 7.00pm, and winding up at midnight. After party party venue TBC.

As this is the club presentation night it would be great to see all those that have taken part in the racing this year, and moreso all members of the club are welcome to join the evening to meet and socialise with those that make our club strong - it's members.

We will be awarding the club championship and state championship trophies, as well as acknowledging those sailors that have made great improvements over the last season and those that demonstrate true club spirit. As well as a fun look back on the year that was and those characters that made it so memorable.

There is a lucky door prize on the night (F2 Wave board) - kindly donated by Board Crazy.

Mikey is the MC for the evening, and there is rumour afoot of some serious hip wiggling going on after dinner.

So guys and girls this is the time to put your good (non-windsurfing) clothes on and bring she (or he) who lets you devote so much time to our great sport. What better way to say thank-you for letting us out on the weekend. Just don't let them know you could win another board for your quiver[}:)]

Tickets are available now and will go very quickly. Cost is $40.00 per head.
For tickets call Simon on 38916470.

Tickets will not be available on the night.

Hope to see you all there.

Darryl

How do you become a member of this Bayside club? Is it just for racing or GPS or what is the club into?

Oh Richie, is the boat getting cold with winter coming on. Knowing my luck I would end up poking myself in the eye with the keys. What's another visit to hospital. I hear that my bank is including them in my visa rewards program

check out the club website at www.baysidesailboards.com.au , but in brief we are into slalom racing and running gps events , but try to develop a social aspect to racing as well (sausage sizzle after racing) , We run events mainly on the south side of brisbane every second weekend through summer.

Well guys we have seen a great interest in the dinner first weekend of sales have been great. Some of our social members have jumped at the chance to catch up, just showing that the bayside club spirit is alive and strong.

I've heard that the girls are keen as and have started burning up the plastic on the appropriate new little black dress. Just remember boys this all goes to an accumulation of brownie points.

Remember tickets are available from Simon at board crazy and will not be available on the night. From an organisation point of view we would like to be able to give numbers a week out from the evening. So you need to buy your ticket by Saturday 23rd of May.

Thanks all that have gotten in early and we will see you for an absolutely cracking night.

now boys don't let a little thing like a shower and a shave hold you back. We are not expecting dinner suits, but safari suits would be more than welcome. Remember we are trying to involve our girls in this and believe it or not every now and then they don't mind getting dressed up.

That being said - I would probably be disappointed if richie was not there in a Hawaiian shirt. Luke you getting the whole family to come along?

Unfortunately I can't make it, as I have just moved to Perth.

But thanks to everyone in the club. I really enjoyed the races I went in and I will miss sailing at Manly. (Looking forward to sailing here though!)

Farewell,
Cheryl

Chris and I are thinking of making it an all day affair if its windy. Basically the ultimate day!

1. Sail all day at Manly
2. Hit the Manly hotel for a few frothies
3. meet the lovely ladies
4. collect our respective prizes on the night!
5. Kebab on the way home!

ps best dressed sailor is still an award category isnt it?

Moved to Perth, what the hell. As if you would go there, all those consistently strong afternoon breezes, crystal clear waters, awesome locations. What are you going to do with all your big kit???

Thanks for being a part of the racing this year, hopefully one of the other girls will step up to the plate and give Kim some competition. Make sure you get a place right on the water with a big back yard suitable for twenty or so tents. We will let you know when the club is in town...

Final warning!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

OK Guys - on the home stretch now. So get down to see simon and get your tickets. Remember this is a night to celebrate - we will celebrate the achievements of those that have stood out this season, and that is not just in the racing.

The tickets have been going like hot cakes and unlike racing there will be no delays or re-runs - this event will go ahead at the scheduled time. We have arranged a fun evening that highlights many things blue, yellow, green or.........

To put it bluntly this is the biggest thing in Qld windsurfing since bart turned up in green shorts and mikey found lead.

Remember no tickets available on the night.

There's a point. All your's Cheryl. We don't have sharks up here - according to Simon anyway. Just really big Dugons with rows and rows of razor sharp teeth.
