yep, meant to stay off the ferry channels although the Maritime Authorities seem pretty relaxed about windsurfers cutting across as long as there's no ferry inbound.
I'm guessing things were potentially disastrous in the 80's when every man and his dog plodded around on a Wally at the hint of a light breeze. Now that most are a lot more skilled, and don't bother to go out unless there's enough wind to outrun the Manly ferry, it's probably a non issue anyway.
