Hope you had a good sail this arvo, there didn't seem to be as much wind as the forecast. (I was on a headland looking seaward)

I'll be out again tomorrow afternoon/evening sometime. I have the day off so am going to let the wind dictate the time.

A very enjoyable past couple of afternoons at Taylors Point! I couldn't make it out today but am hopeful of getting out at Sand Point after work tomorrow.
I was on the formula board with a 10.7m sail, it is great seeing a few more enjoying Pittwater again.

There's only really one spot to launch from at Taylor's Point. The access is by a little short street (Taylor's Point Rd.) that leads to the public wharf alongside the Navy Base.
A dozen or so parking spots, a little bit of grass to rig on, a smattering of moorings to pick you way through and you're good to go.

Yeah, it's utterly easy.

I have the day off today so I'm heading out sooner rather than later, before this wind dies.
I'll keep an eye out Seano and come out again later on the old formula board if I'm not too shagged for a second sail.

Where would you launch tomorrow?

Sandy point, Palm Beach in a S / SE. I am planning on going out tomorrow about 12ish if wind stays up.

You can launch from Taylors Point but a bit of a vortex getting into the wind.

I'm keen for Wednesday & Thursday arvo.
Maybe some of the local DAC raceboard crew might forego the 1hr+ trip to Rodd Pt and enjoy an extra 2hrs of clean fresh Pittwater NorEaster

Ah. You were out. I was keeping my eye out but didn't see you AyreForce.

Cranking breeze. Not so much gusts, rather 10 minute spells of greater and lesser wind. I certainly had a few stretches with solid 20 knots.

I zipped out on the formula board with the racesail quickly but then realised how windy it was. Whoops, quick board change. Not, unfortunately, before I'd had a most legendary catapault.

Going to be the same but a bit more tomorrow. If fact the forecast for the whole next week is just seriously prime in every way. (er... for someone who loves the colour Yellow and doesn't mind green too much either.)



ps. How did you go with the RS-X 8.5 in the stronger bits today?

Starboard Phantom 377 & Severne 9.5 - it's almost a one design class

Today was another great NorNorEast arvo on Pittwater.
Tomorrow aka Saturday is also looking good.

a few more sessions on the water like this afternoon's would be very welcome! I had forgotten how nice the big rig in a light breeze is to sail after decommissioning it a couple of years back..

After jealously reading of your adventures on pittwater and turning down every invitation from Ayreforce I finally have a chance to go for a sail tomorrow (sunday). I hope to hit the water around 1ish before the breeze gets too strong, launching from Bayview.

Very exciting for me because I have only sailed my raceboard a few times and never on Pittwater. I've got an ancient blue Barracouta 8.5 and a mistral one design board. Hope to see you on the water. Karen
