Who is up for windsurfing there if the forecast SW winds come through? Its a great wind direction there.

We will be cooking some hotdogs or sausages on our little cooker for lunch so if you want a bite to eat please join us.

The forecast looks more west?

I was thinking of either going up the coast to canton or down south to Illawarra. I guess we will have to see how it plays out. Either way I hope those gree arrows hang around!

I'm not sure if Billyboy will help or not. Anyway I'm thinking to cook hotdogs as they are easier to cook in a limited area. However they will not be boiled but fried along with onions. Mustard and tomotoe sauce as well.

West is good in Canton Beach. Its good down at Illawarra Lake too.

I will be there with bells on , it been too long out of the water :(

Moby I will give u a ring tomorrow ,

I will pack the real BBQ - the little stove take to long

Let me know what meat u want , ( going to tumbi wholesale any way )
I will bring a few kg sausage and 2 steak and just take the left over Home

At long you're wife cook .


Oh and I have left over cans of coke that you guys can take off my hands ( left over from Easter)

Guessing -from sydney there not alot of differents . But for me it too far to Illawarra unless I stay the night

Ended up ok after waiting all day , was good to catch up with everyone , was a very nice sunny day as well

It looks windy!Great shots! I never get in photos.....
Tried Mobys 7.3m with carbon mast- weighed as much as my 6.6m cammed & much better balanced.. I want one!!Have to win lotto..
Billy boy supplied snags for late lunch and seemed to be going pretty well for how long he's been sailing.

Your ka has a big luff pocket and Is a lot heavier
, the wind picked up as you went in sue .
You were killing it in the lighter breeze !

Thankfully the wind picked up a bit this Arvo. I need to buy a bigger sail. An 8 would have been a better size today.

Great pictures Greg. Despite the lack of wind it was a blessing to have a sunny day.

Nice one, looks pretty long runs.
I had to drop someone at the airport at lunch time, had a look around, 2 guys at La Perouse, couldn't see anyone elsewhere, but it didn't look that great, except the sun of course.

Every time I came in for a rest it would pick up..I think I'm bad luck!
Trying to figure out how to upgrade to a 7.3 with carbon mast. I always swore i hated big sails but it wasn't heavy and I could get planing in 10-12kts... I'd get a lot more sailing in with a bigger combo.
I was thinking of going back today but not sure if it will come in and have appointment at 12.30 in Newcastle + portrait painting group as an option.

Interesting that the seabreeze graph for Norah Head did not go over 10 knots all day but at Canton, just over the road from Norah, we had between, say 12-20 knots most of the day. Clearly Norah Head is useless in a NW. If I had paid it any attention I would have stayed at home gardening instead of having a good days sailing with 8.5.

Did you own the tyronsea 295? I still own mine but could never sail that sucker well. The plastic mast track broke out of mine but the board is still in great nick.

Yes.. I think I could sail it ok but I must admit the only gybing pic I have is of me crashing..and I have a great catapult shot too! Boy that was about 86..Also in those days there wasn't the networking like seabreeze to get other opinions and compare it to anything else.
I remember some great downwind runs on the lake .We used to have a yacht and being plastic Id put it on the deck work upwind and then get put off for a long downwind run and photo shoot! Oh to be able to do that these days!

Yes I use to sail mine down at Narrabean Lakes. Beach start it and hope to god you could stay on it till you got to the other side. Jump off and turn around and go back. Then do the walk of shame and walk back up the shore line I orignally started from. It was a hard board to point up wind.Mine you I went to this board after only sailing a wally. I think I went too small. Can't beat today's boards.

Your making me realise how crappy my memory is... Maybe it was a bit of a jump. I went a year on a Dufour wing , year on Mistral Maui then the Tyronsea 295 then a fibreglass Windaction 9' slalom & then waveboards.
I notice you still have it. I suppose its an unfair comparison after sailing todays boards but can you get upwind on it now ( or you haven't bothered to try? ).

No it has no mast track. I still occasionally sail my tyronsea 350 elite. I brought this board when I got so frustrated when I had so much trouble saling the 295. It is a good board to sail when there is not enough wind to get the wider style boards on the plane. I took the 295 to Wallace Lakes a few years ago and was going to give it another go. As I left the shore the mast track broke out of it. Wasn't mean't to be. Cheers.
