Rosco was my best friend for forty years plus, he was my best man at my wedding. I gave him my Windrush Storm 8 back in 1992 when I went to Melbourne to study. I never got it back as you would expect but it started it all.
I didn't get a chance to sail as much as I would have liked with him for a 'groove on the smooth' but I know he loved the gang down there. Thank you for being such good friends to him, Michelle and the girls. My heart is numb right now.
Keep sailing, and look around when you're out, he'll be there with you somewhere.

A memory of a fun competition set up by Ross. I believe the trophy was created by Anita. I currently have it, but happy to pass it on if desired.

Yes, Fangy commissioned me to make that trophy. It was back in the days when the only shallow draft fins we had for sailing Coodanup were Maui Ultrafins deltas, hence the design of the trophy. Ross wanted more people to discover the delights of Coodanup so he started this comp to entice more sailors there. It worked.

24FF is too good to hang on the wall..also don't hang it above your bed.If it falls off it will kill you..
I love my 24FF. It might not be the fastest fin around but it's pretty unbeatable for smiles on dials in patchy light conditions.
When I accidentally dropped it I'd feel sorry for the concrete. Indestructible.
I'll think of Fangy when I'm using it.

I live half a world away. Spend most of my time on a foil. I use a weed fin maybe one trip a year. But, I read every comment on the FF posts and followed the progress with great interest and admiration. I know that was only one slice of a very rich life. But even in that small piece, he gave such generous joy and I will be forever grateful. My condolences to his family and friends.
