We are going to have a presentation party, just need to work out how best to do it.

Some of the suggestions so far:

Option 1: Mounts bay sailing Club, have an evening there.

Option 2: BBQ on the Swan River somewhere

Option 3: Pool Party in Mandurah

Other Options:

What do people reckon and who would come?

Sounds great! By the Swan, or even on it, would be appropriate wouldn't it?

Anyone got a boat?

If the turnout for the prize draw is anything to go by, I think there will be too many to fit on a boat (unless one of us happens to be John Rothwell in disguise )

BBQ sounds like the go to me!

Righto!

My thoughts are that the members of team SRM should at the very least have their feet immersed in the sacred waters of the Swan as the presentation is made!

When we finalise a date and time, let me know and I will get one of the photographers and journo's down from local paper (probably the western suburbs weekly, but it could go in more) to cover the presentation.

Nothing like a local interest story (thats what we do)

The reserve at Point Walter might be the go.
There is lots of grassed area, shade, BBQs, great playgrounds for the little ones, toilets down below by the cafe, its very close to the Mother Swan, lots of parking and at mid to late Feb, after school has gone back, its probably not going to be too crowded.
SRM could volunteer to have a forward scout party to go in, set up a site, put up the Thommen flag, ice the booze, measure the pitch etc etc!
If it is really windy we could all go the 100 metres down to the spit and see who can crack the best [beat Snides] alpha!! Then go and do all the other stuff!

A suggestion!

Hardie and Mineral -Thanks for the support.

I'll take a leap and say 16 or 23 Feb - they are Saturdays!
I think my team mates would appreciate a day of recovery before we go back to our respective pickle factories!!
How about we say 5.30pm - can have a blast beforehand or Hardie can issue an email alert postponement if it is cranking!!

Comments?

I hate to say it, but the forecast is looking the goods for Saturday arvo at Pt Walter - breeze in the 20's and a nice high tide!

Lets hope we can all have a good little sail off with a lot of competitors in the one place at one time.

Bring it on!

Hey I was calling "windy" for the Lancelin Ocean Classic from a month beforehand and that came through!

I would actually like to see you Mandurah Boys do a little downwinder through the slop to Peli Pt with us, you know weaving through the ferries, tornado cats, cruisers, water skiers and other assorted pleasure craft - immerse yourself in the experience that is the Swan!
