By the time that was checked, had sailed a couple of long sessions. And I thank my firmware version didn't have a long time for logging internally. To be honest- I don't really know much about the Navi beyond Tom Chalko's notes on his Mt Best site. Anyway others checked it all and to no avail. Have had it fail to record one day since then, so card was finally reformatted and seems to be fine now- touch wood.

I've got the old garmin, I always download to PC straight away and take fairly regular backups of my PC, I work in IT and have lost count of people that say they have lost all their photos or whatever...... having said that I too get slack. Best of luck for future data

Burrum ? Would luv to but cant manage this time, forecast looks promising

Mike, I once accidentally deleated all the photos on my camera CD card. I downloaded and used the Uneraser program and got them all back

There are a few on the net for download but if you want to give me a yell, I'll email it to you, bit of rooting around but you or a mate will sort it

To test I just deleated all my GPS files on my GT11 SD card and used Uneraser to get what I wanted back Takes some head scraching

UNERASER - DATA Recovery is a powerful data recovery software for DOS and Windows
(Console) that can recover deleted files and folders on FAT12, FAT16, FAT32 and NTFS
systems. It can even restore files from deleted and reformatted partitions. With this data recovery software NTFS drives can be recognized and deleted items can be recovered while working from DOS and Windows (Console) environment. It is not necessary to install the utility on your system's hard drive, as it fits on a boot floppy disk, removing the possibility of overwriting data which you want to recover.

There's a reason it's called a rain depression

Looking out the window towards burrum at 9am this morning you could be forgiven thinking it was still night time, very dark and miserable indeed.

We got 70mm overnight and BOM says more and heavier rain to come, you're keen mikey. Save your energy for dancing this weekend buddy.

Mikey 100, I was just wondering if you had any luck retrieving your lost data from either your computer, your card or GT11.
I see a few of the guys think it is possible.
Lets hope you did.
Can you let us all know?
