Just got NPX E3 3/2m XL "tall".
It feels very fine as you touch it, and is very comfortable.
I like the bib, and how it locks the neck and the fact that my long arms and legs are fully covered.

Can’t wait until Monday…

I was hoping for a silver one, but the only available colour was black.
Still, I'm quite happy.

As for the diving, it feels good, but I would hate to see it ripped to shreds on corals and reefs.

Silver!? You'd look like the Silver Surfer. How cool is that.

A mate of mine was installing some shelving in a dive shop the other day and drilled through the wall and also through a custom made wettie on a shelf on the other side of the wall, that was waiting to be picked up by the customer. My mate gave them $200 toward the wettie so you could probably get that one cheap!!

Bump.

Looking for a replacement as never 100% happy with the one I bought two years ago.

Thinking ONeill or Rip Curl.

I had an ONeill 20 years ago and it was completely awesome.
Rip Curl specialise in wetsuits first, fashion second. Australian too. Wetsuit pioneers too.

See, I'm conscientious. Any thoughts?

I'm thinking the Rip Curl e-bomb.

P.S. Sailing on Gold Coast/Brisbane so a 3/2.

P.P.S. You'd be surpsied how cold the water is in Brisbane.

I ended up buying a rip curl ebomb and its really good. Super stretchy and alot warmer than my old wettie. Saying that I chose it because it was the one that fitted me best, most others the arms were too long. Its also handy that the factory isnt far away if I ever need a repair done.
Overall I think its a good wetsuit but I think you should just get the one that fits the best because that will make a bigger difference

Meh, I don't think brisbane gets cold enough to warrant spending up big on a wetsuit, especially if you have a functioning one at the moment, not unless you are using it for other stuff like SUP and surfing as well.

I'm still sailing in boardies at the moment. And last year I was in boardies again by August. Really only 2 months that you need a wetty, and you are probably lucky to get a handful of sessions in that span.

I've got a cheap ripcurl suit I bought on special for like $150, its got none of the gimmicks, but works well enough to cover me over easter. Plus I get to spend the money I save on stuff i really need, like boards and sails

It is weird. I went out one day in the ocean on the Gold Coast, in a pair of boardies and a 2mm vest. Fine.

The very next day I went out at Wellington Pt. in Brisbane in a 3/2 plus the 2mm vest plus 2mm booties and positively froze. I couldn't talk properly when I came out, slurred speech and slow to think. A passerby that I had a brief conversation with said I was very independent.

Thanks for the advice re the e-bomb ZacD.

I love my O'neill Psycho II 3/2, I live Canberra and sail right through the winter. With temps well into the negatives I can only imagine how cold the lake gets.
I really rate this wetsuit.

Cheers...Jason.
