been a week and a half now of no-winder getting a bit restless..am not as much grinning as i used to come home tired but in good spirits...it's quite amazing how family bonding has been a little bit tighter during the nearly off-season..if only by the hand of God can he move the Phil. islands just a tad to where the Taiwan straits are then everything will be back to normal

May sucks for wind, but there's no reason to panic, it's always the worst month. (look at the 3pm averages here: www.bom.gov.au/climate/averages/tables/cw_066037.shtml for example) Best to write it off all together!

looks like weeks of strong winds fo NZ,.

Bring it on..
I've been trying to buy a secondhand 6.2 or 6.3m that'll work on a 430 mast so I can extend my wave sailing options... but I'd be just as happy to get a bit more use out of my 4.2.

Interesting. Previously they only had published stats to 1992 which appeared to show average wind decreasing, but now they have recent stats for Sydney it shows more recent years to be above average so maybe global warming means more wind for Sydney or maybe there is just a long term cycle?
