I did try 2 tonne chain block. Doesn't work. Still stack.
I gave up and carry on the roof rack as old good single piece.



Shoud I go for replacement too ??

but seriously I have also hydraulic ram that for sure could do the job but there is problems with applying such force exactly in long axis.
Matter is waiting for some inventor to come with sort of self centering rings or similar device that could grab boom safely and do not slide when pulled with extreme force.

or somebody know how to create such thing to grab the mast ( maybe something similar to boom piece ?)

It might seem a little obvious but I hope everyone completes step 1 before they try to separate their masts.

Step 1 : check it is a two piece mast and not a single piece.

I am sure that with right tool it should be possible to separate single piece masts too
