Maybe I should clarify that the sails I got are brand new but 06 models. I hear that the 07 models are not changing so thats why I got the 06 sails at a cheap run out price

I do have speed gear Mins. My 86L Starboard Fish and 5.7m Tushie Rock.
It goes fast in 15 knots, imagine what it could do in 20 to 30 knots

Actually my wife does encourage me to go sailing, to keep in shape. She just prefers me to do it with patchwork quilts and water-logged boards. I guess she knows the extra effort will burn more calories.

Knot Board, you need to teach your wife to sail. It means you can extend your quiver down to the very small end of the sail sizes so you always have a 4m for crazy winter weather. New gear is welcomed with open arms and sailing holidays are now demanded each year. All I have to do is find a nice warm tropical location. Bring on Cocos next week.

Only problem is that you get yelled when she witnesses how high you can jump her brand new board. I'll be killed if I ever snap it.

I have this weird ritual of NOT putting my new stuff in the garage when i've bought it.
I very often put it near the telly so I can look at it out the corner of my eye when watching Top Gear or Southpark, or pat it when I go to make a cup of tea.

As soon as I put a hole in it or a scratch it I immedietly lose interest and it gets demoted to the garage.

For me and my 87kgs yes it was worth it and they work for me. They have given the board a looser feel, given the board better upwind ability, the board is less bouncy in higher wind,planes earlier and I can go over shallower water. What I have found is. If I use a single fin 23cm deep on a similar size board with identicle vee, rocker and rails it feels like the fin holds the front of the board down on the water and I get a slappier stiffer ride, if I change the fin on the board to a smaller 20cm fin it loosens the board up and it feels more controlable in the higher winds but I loose my upwind ability and early planing. So with the twin fin I get to use a smaller fin and get the feel of a smaller fin but with the upwind ability of a larger stiffer fin. I've only had it out in half mast high waves and it was awesome. Not sure how the small fins will go in mast high or bigger. Ive also noticed similar(but milder) effects as above when tring it with larger and smaller twins fins. I think it gives the board the same feel as if I was a 70kg person using a smaller board and fin.
Single, thrusters, twins, give the board different handling and a different feel, I'm liking the feel of the twin fins, I could try them somewhere else and feel their not suitable and not like them.
If you see me down the beach ask me for a go on the board. The extra box, supporting divinycell, glass and fin do add extra weight to the board.

It's not possible at this time to include pictures in your forum posts, just links to the gallery, like the other guys have done here in this thread.
