Pelican cases are water proof cases.
pelican.com/home.phpHaircut: make sure the epoxy has bonded properly to your case. It sometimes doesnt stick very well to some plastics and a small tug on the wire could break it off. I also prefer to beat ** out of this type of thing before putting the expensive camcorder inside. Make sure you treat it rougher in the "test" than it will experience in actual use otherwise its not a test.
As an added backup I also used a dry bag over the pelican case.
