my choice is an easy one.

sail.....5.0m 08 Gaastra Vapor

board.....88litre 05 Anders Brindall slalom board

fin..... probably my 30cm leading edge weed fin or my 25cm carbon pointer

would not get much sailing in, but in heaven when wind hits 20 knots plus.

I only use 1 board and 1 sail 80% of the time anyway... either there's enough wind to plane or there's not.

Sail.........8.5m Ezzy Freeride (2010)

Board.......Fanatic Falcon 145 (2007/8)

(I refuse to cave in and buy BIG gear)

...all the other stuff I have in storage - the 3.6, 4.0, 5.0, 5.7, 5.8, 6.9...well, that's just for show

RRD FSW 85 and a 5.0 - 5.3 Gator or Manic....

... and then I'd move to WA.

Have only been using one board for the past few years in up to 30 knot winds: (somewhat out of control in 30kt over choppy water!)

2009 Fanatic Hawk 93 (with std 28cm fin)

2011 KA Koyote 5.9 (sailed 90% of the time since getting it last Dec)

I think we all know what your favourite combo is lao shi!

This season I have only used one sail and board, aside from one or two occasions. I have plenty of sails but I love this one so much I even use it when I should use something of a different size.

85L Sonic, 5.7 Koncept,
My favourite fin is lao shi's slightly less than 30 cm G11 pointer

I'd consider all my bad karma had caught up with me!

It would have to be a choice between wave sailing and speed sailing, don't know how I'd make that decision, have to cut me down the middle I think.

Ahh well that would be the same as what i have been sailing for the last year,

5.3 Severne blade and a RRD wavethruster 76 with the stock fins.
well only had the rrd a few weeks but B4 that it was a JP radical wave 74. the RRD is sheetloads better

Gotta set the blade on a 95% carbon powerex rdm too, man i love that mast.

You already are Hardie. I keep trying to tell you that but those voices in your head tell you otherwise

Oh and I'd have a Starboard 70L Evo and a Tushingham 5m Rock

Reality = 7.5 Ezzy Freeride + Kona 1
Dream = 6.5 KA Kult + Exocet/Kona 11.5 (but 7.5 Ezzy will most probably still be used most)

It's a good thing we're not trying to form a concensus.
I guess that's why there is such a huge range of gear available.
We all want something different.

It aslo depends on the reality of how much wind you get where you live and how often..

& how often you want to sail, how comfortably etc.

Me personally love my go fast kit but I just wouldnt want to be doing the same thing all the time.

Never realised a kite was actually defined as a sail Lotofwind.
