Sourced from a tennis serving speed forum. Kudos for your sporting ability back then. Since 2013 not much has changed with the writing style though.

I'm sure I read the article when it originally came out but it was worth another read. Thanks for posting. Interesting at the end, he anticipates wing foiling. He was always generous with his knowledge - he gladly allowed us to use some of his posts in our local club newsletter without hesitation.

How can there be internet presence when everything I ever did was before 1990?
Internet is only what some computer nerd decided to put in, not an accurate account of what actually happened.
Just like history. That is written by the winner, for his glory. What about all the other points of view?

The Aussie culture is quite different to the US. Normally our mates don't let us get too open about our achievements. Our sarcasm and wit will bring high flyers down to earth again. This can clash with the North American habit of letting the world know of your best achievements. Beware of the Aussies with a chainsaw, they are looking for a tall poppy to cut down!

An American relative once said to me that Aussies are like crabs in a bucket, as soon as one climbs up and gets a claw over the edge and has a chance of escaping ... the others just drag him back.
Having said that, LeeD might like to recognise that there are other people in the world who have done some stuff. Or not.

Yes that is a fact. Council worker code of ethics. Makes sense, we have a strong convict background, chain gangs and all that. Doesn't pay to be too out there as a prisoner. Don't think it does us any good, suppresses the creative spark.
Don't let these guys get to you LeeD. They've all gone crazy because it's winter and we have nothing to do except wait fror spring.
I'm not here to cut anyone down. Just wanted to know WHO LeeD is.
Seems a few forums have a love hate relationship with LeeD. He's probably laughing just as much as us.
