i heard hot sails are making a no battern sail to save a further 0.00001 grams, dakron is used because NASA use it...

That looks like the Carbon Wave Edition, you can also get it in wood. Not much info about the specifics yet apart from the use of super-light layers of uni-directional 80g/m2 Carbon in the deck of the wave boards to make the deck incredibly resistant to snapping with no reduction in the feel or ride of the board. Word is that the new construction from Starboard is Koster proof.

Also the 87 and 92 Quad have had a bit of rework to the rocker to increase the plaining performance over last years model. Also a slight outline change with a few extra mm tucked between the feet.

That's what I thought. But it turns out that the sail is being put into production (according to HSM fb page) and it will be available soon.
It will be called the 'KS3'.

Yep, mine on order.

Was getting the qu4d but heard some really good feedback on the KS3.

ok, just that if you look at the pictures of the proto's, the carbon looks dark grey, not so white. Thought they may have added a new construction.

The finish in the picture is usually Technora finish but it does say Carbon ...........but who knows what they put in it.
