4th foil session the other day, super fun wind swell carving (very addictive) and not over powered for once, so much easier!!! Moved front straps back to inboard. find it easier on jibe attempts - keeps things a bit more stable over the centre line. 5th session today, nice and flat and well powered. After what feels like a million jibe attempts and crashes, I finally made a handful flying right through on both tacks.. starting to come together slowly - gee they felt good. Flipping sail earlier seems to be helping, also broad reach on entry and exit, not sure what my feet are doing but just seem to be naturally working it out. now, just need more time on the water to keep the momentum going

Am I reading that correctly 5th session and making flying gybes? that must be a record, way to go

I am a big fan of inboard straps, but I think you do loose some top speed

Yep, it's been pretty brutal though, long sessions, short runs and attempt after attempt after attempt!!! Very tempting to just do off foil tack or jibe to save falling in, but I hate not going for it. I've been a dog with a bone trying to get them. I'm the only windfoiler at my spot, lots of wingdingers, kiters, and a handful of windsurfers all looking at me like I must be mad!!! But it's starting to pay off. Forums and videos have been invaluable in learning what to do and not to do - sometimes easier said than done. Lots of board sport history definitely helping my progress - wavesailing, surfing, supping, skateboarding, snowboarding etc. and now windfoiling.

Still a long way to go with the jibes but I know it's possible now and each time I don't make it I can see where I'm going wrong and which aspect I need to be thinking about and working on.

yeah I'm liking inboard as well, I'm not too worried about losing a bit of top end speed either, half the time I have more speed than I want anyway while I'm learning it all

Once your jibes are on lockdown it all becomes so much easier. My first season I would probably crash missed jibes about 30+ times each session and yea people would shake their heads but once you get that first one you want more.If your flying jibes that soon I would be real happy about that!

Nice. This was my set up (sail universal where that yellow bungee is, i76 nearly all the way back in the track or i99 all the way forward). When I tried the back centre strap, I found my back foot creeping out to the rail, so I ended up moving my straps to outer back. However, if I didn't have the freestyle for swell riding I would probably have gone center back.

Also if i didn't plan on running it with 99 then I would probably move the front straps forward to the winging holes and move foil mast and sail mast forward.

You are going to love this board, so versatile. One board quiver for 80kg or less

I use mine with outboard straps
To be fare I'm not always I the back one and you could just leave it of to start then see where you think it would get most use
I starred with the centre position it's only good for down wind, swells ,
The rest of the time it feels awkward
Great board although I find it less volume than 114 quoted
