You guys have never heard of him? Please, don't even speak his name. He well and trucks ****s up forums singlehandedly. Seabreeze is lucky to have escaped his radar thus far.

E.g. there's a recent thread on concaves on surfermag's design forum where Maurice Cole chimes in with his thoughts on very deep singles (it's a good thread). _Luddite_ (aka The Thing That Should Not Be) does his level best to derail the thread and bring the attention on himself and his superiority, as he's done time and time before.

I've gotta say, he's a masterful, masterful troll and always gets people, even those who should know better.

Favourite Thing about Seabreeze is it's one of about 5 websites I have access to at work that isn't blocked and I still get excited when I see good weather on the way!

Have you guys not heard of Google alerts??

Do you think it's coincidence that you ask a question about a brand or whatever and they mysteriously log on to answer the question.

All he needs to do is set an alert on his name and he gets an email from google to tell him where and what site and he will be here.


What do I like about Seabreeze? When things get colourful..... I kind of miss Legion in the SUP room for example. I read all his posts and he stirred it up a bit, it has been kind of boring bar a couple of moments since.....

I liked to stir up the non-surfers. A majority it seems. Common, basic knowledge that all groms are were taught is severely lacking in the SUP room. People didn't like me though, particularly laurie. I liked to try to educate the masses in there about proper etiquette. And it was always more lively than the SB forum. Although this one has picked up in the last 6 months or so.

I do like you Legion. I think you're witty & insightful. (No sarcasm, I have no reason to dislike you). As you say, others didn't warm to your style of education.

Back on topic, my favourite thing about Seabreeze is the wide array of colourful & interesting characters that live in the forums.

People are life.

One thing I would like to see more of on here is design discussion, I found Maurices' thoughts on concaves very interesting.

Would be cool to get some design insights from the likes of Ronnie Goddard, Chris Chamberlain and some local boys too. You hearing me Dave? BTW you should read that thread about single concaves, would like your views on it too. Lots of crap to wade through but some gems too.

Being a kneelo it has always been difficult to source locally shaped boards and I'm sick to death of ordering boards from the east that don't suit local waves.

Well what'd ya think of Maurices' ideas? If you haven't started on that board yet, leave it and I'll come in Monday and redo the design with you. You know how much I like deep singles and I haven't had a thruster for about 8 years now. Be nice to have something different in the quiver... Will give you a bell
