Don't have photo's because none of my mates surf. But I remember first time I bottom turned after normally catching waves and just going straight. Greatest feeling ever especially since I didn't even know what I was doing. Not to mention it was a glassy day, little wind and I had the bank all to myself at Perth's most popular beach. Heck, I'm still learning to surf honestly but that moment was whats kept me at it ever since.

got a funny feeling suba that this thread was designed to "out" the non-surfers who may frequent this forum, you've copped a lot of crap recently and although I personally do not doubt your credentials I think a pic from you would go a long way!! Technically as a kneelo I suppose I don't "belong" but as a member of a species close to extinction I hope I can stay around for a bit longer. I'd love to see the pup's pic's as well.

After more than 25 years of surfing i finally have a decent photo. This photo is from a recent trip to Sumatra, thanks to the photog on the boat Chris Proud.

bakes - i don't have any of myself surfing,would have liked to provide them.

a quick trip to kandui resort in sumatra (if you can get in !) is an option !
a couple of trips means every relative and friend will stop coming to your home for your "slide nights/shows" for a couple of years
they photograph every session,costs about $200 US over the trip cost approx $2500 ,(if you dont factor in the bar bill, who would of thought you could drink so many beers after surfing all day )
cheap,compared to the life long kicking you give your self if you don't pay for the photos(2000+)

I beg to differ Prawny, don't understand why if you've never surfed you would be in this forum but will defend your right to express an opinion. I thought the general discussion area was for that, it may also be why some of the recent activity has been well away from the domain of surfing and has become more of a personal ideology forum about things like censorship or how we view others. Quite philosophical and interesting but not really about surfing. This thread for example is what it's all about imo, even though it may have had an ulterior motive.

I sorta agree bakesy, but, I go into Longboards, SUP, Windsurfing, Kitesurfing as well as SBs and I only SB. All the infighting thats happened recently happens in all these forums, mainly Kitesurfing I generally like to look at what equipment different sports use and Im keen on windsurfing gonna get some lessons this summer
I dont think we get alot of non surfers in here only SUPers
