Definitely looks like a white shark in that photo. It's not very clear but there is an obvious dark/light line on the shark which is obviously a trademark of the whites.
Ripper photo.

Here's a shot that was taken on a camera phone yesterday. Now i will have a guess and say that 10 years ago this shot would not have made it to the light of day.
More people around, more technology more sharks
Mindarie Harbour inside the rock wall about 50 feet from the ramp.

I use to live on the marina (folks fished a cray boat between lancelin and mindarie)
i call seal on this one. they school the fish up against the rocks around the marina
u can clearly see where it has released oxygen underwater. and if u compare the size
of it to the rocks its only a little over a 1m max...

Lano the Marina manager who also used to fish commercially was standing less than 5 feet away from it with his camera phone. Now i will also say Seals don't have fins on their back, also the direction of the tail swoop would also indicate a vertical tail. Seals normally don't have white tummy's either

More likely the Loch ness monster than a seal

Seals do have fins on them... and they can have white tummys
i have seen the exact same thing in the marina . that's why i think its a seal....
I Could be wrong mate.....but for my piece of mind (there are no sharks out there) im right....

What we need is a land predator evolving and kicking us off the top of the food chain. That way, the media would stop it's frenzy on sharks. Sad for families and my thoughts go out to them, but if you think about it sharks are no different from humans as animals living on this rock. Problems our intelligence resulted in us deciding that riding a board on a wave is fun.
